There’s no denying that Brits enjoy chocolate with so many brands available, including Cadbury, Galaxy, KitKat, Maltesers and Thorntons. A chocolate bar is many foodies’ go-to snack when craving something sweet and indulgent.

With so many different choices on supermarket shelves and new products regularly being released, shoppers are spoilt for choice and this can make it harder to pick one. Often, foodies pick classic chocolate products that have been around for years but new treats spark the curiosity of some as well, such as the KitKat Chunky Salted Caramel Duo bar, which comes hot off the heels of the new rolo flavour. Popular social media account New Foods UK posted a photo of the new Nestlé chocolate bar on Facebook and shared that they spotted it at Tesco.

The post has garnered hundreds of likes and several comments, with KitKat fans surprised by one detail.

A Facebook user exclaimed: “Size of that,” while another exclaimed: “Looks huge!”

Others left comments, including “wow”, “Omg” and even a row of the ‘shocked face’ emoji with no words.

Fans who have already tasted the new chocolate bar reported: “These are seriously good” and “These are lovely.”

Some users shared that they would like to try the KitKat treat with remarks such as “Yes please” and “Need to give this a try.”

The description of the chocolate bar on the KitKat website reads: “68g KitKat® Chunky DUO salted caramel chocolate bar.

“Iconic crispy wafer topped with a layer of salted caramel filling, all wrapped in a tasty layer of smooth milk chocolate. A KitKat® with an extra layer of indulgence.”

It adds that the sweet treat has no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

The new “huge” KitKat Chunky Salted Caramel Duo bar has a retail price of £1.50 each and it joins the KitKat Salted Caramel sharing bar, which is also new and features a marbled chocolate design.

Salted caramel has become a popular flavour in the culinary world with the introduction of food and beverages with this sweet and salty taste.

Häagen-Daz launched its salted caramel ice cream in 2008 and soon after, Starbucks began selling its salted caramel hot chocolate leading to many more products with this flavour flooding the mainstream market, as per The Fizzy Tarte.

KitKat is one of the chocolate brands owned by Nestlé, a major Swiss multinational food and drink company.

The brand is instantly recognisable for its wafer layers covered in milk chocolate and its iconic slogan “Have a break…have a KitKat.”

There is a variety of KitKat products with milk, dark and white chocolate and a range of flavours, from peanut butter to hazelnut to orange.

Fans can also enjoy the two and four finger milk chocolate bars, the KitKat Chunky range and the more recent sharing bars.
