Former Love Island contestant Liam Reardon has made his first Instagram appearance since his split from Millie Court, hinting at a era of reflection and focus following the breakup.

The 26-year-old reality star had been absent from his Instagram grid for nearly three weeks after the second shock split from Millie, 28. The pair first met on Love Island in 2021, briefly broke up, and reconciled a year later before ultimately going their separate ways again.

Liam’s latest posts suggest he is leaning on fitness to cope with the separation. He shared two snaps from a sunny morning run on his Instagram story.

One image captured the sunrise over a bridge with a pale blue sky, while the other showed Liam in a red running jacket and boxy sunglasses. Over the images, he wrote: “I needed that sun on my run this morning,” accompanied by a smiling emoji with a bead of sweat, and added: “Happy Friday People.”

He also shared a picture of himself running with friend Shane Williams during a charity event, indicating that he is channelling his energy into both fitness and giving back to the community. The posts, however, were shared as stories, meaning fans cannot comment or ask questions directly.

Meanwhile, Millie has remained active online, sharing holiday snaps from Greece in stylish, figure-hugging outfits. The former reality star has been enjoying some time in the sun and maintaining her social media presence since the breakup.

Outside the world of Instagram, Liam has returned to his day job as a bricklayer, stepping back from the glitz and glamour of reality television.

In stark comparison, Millie continues to build her profile in fashion and beauty, collaborating with well-known brands including ASOS.

A source close to Liam said the former reality star is focusing on his wellbeing after the split. “He’s keeping busy with work and fitness,” they said. “He’s taking time to look after himself and doing things that make him feel good.”

It comes after Millie’s friends have opened up about her “worst nightmare scenario” following her second break-up from Liam.

The Love Island star is reportedly panicking that her ex will appear on the next season of Love Island All Stars.

The pair met and fell in love on ITV2’s popular dating show in 2021 and were ultimately crowned the winners, despite Liam kissing Lillie Haynes in Casa Amor. Liam’s actions away from the villa were so shocking, the show altered their format to allow Lillie, a dumped Casa girl, to come back to share what happened with Millie.

But Millie and Liam were able to make their relationship work and won over the public, too. They stayed together until July 2022, when their first split was announced but reunited a year later.

However, this week it was reported Liam had called time on their relationship, leaving Millie ‘gutted’.

After their first break-up, Liam signed up to E4’s Celebs Go Dating and, now, an insider has revealed that Millie is worried Liam will sign up for Love Island All Stars, which begins its third series in January.

A source close to Millie spoke about how difficult it would be for her to see her ex on screen again and said it was a “worst nightmare scenario” for her.

“Millie has told pals she is really worried Liam will do Love Island All Stars in January, and she’ll find it really painful to watch,” they said. “She’s convinced he’ll do it because she knows bosses will want him and after they split last time in 2022, he signed up to do Celebs Go Dating.

“She hated watching him dating girls on that, and she couldn’t cope with it a second time around. Love Island All Stars would be even worse for her, as the villa is where they met and fell in love. It would like a worst nightmare scenario for her.”

A friend of Liam’s has stressed that he is in no rush to head back to the villa or any reality show. “Liam isn’t even thinking about any other TV offers at the moment, especially dating shows,” they insisted.

“He kind of rushed into doing Celebs Go Dating after the last split and regretted it, so he certainly isn’t in hurry to go back to the villa.” But they also suggested he may change his mind: “That said, it’s four months away and a lot can happen in that time.”
