Pop star Lily Allen has made a rare comment on Oasis’ Liam Gallagher years after she claimed they had a romp on a plane to Japan while he was married to Nicole Appleton
Lily Allen has shared a rare comment about Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher after admitting to joining the Mile High Club together. The singer, 40, revealed she watched Liam perform over the summer after he reunited with brother Noel for their huge Oasis reunion shows.
They played a series of sold-out shows across the UK, with Lily admitting she was in attendance at one of them. She had previously spilled on her antics with Liam in her memoir as she claimed they had a wild time together on a flight to Japan in 2009.
While Liam, 53, has never commented on her claim, Lily has spoken of the Britpop rocker again. In a new interview, Lily hit out at the double standards in the music industry between male and female artists.

“I went to see Oasis play on Sunday night and I thought it was f***ing great,” she told Perfect Magazine. “I love Oasis. Noel is a fantastic songwriter and I enjoyed every minute of it.”
Lily revealed she went to see Lady Gaga the following day at her O2 performance as she admitted the differences were “night and day”. She said as a woman “you have to justify your existence” but men don’t.
Speaking of Liam, she added: “Liam Gallagher can just sing a song and go ‘Nice one’ afterwards and do nothing with his entire body and people go f***ing mental.” Lily said people would be “outraged” if Lady Gaga didn’t dance and followed Liam’s stage technique.
The Smile hitmaker’s antics with Liam resurfaced as he announced his Oasis reunion tour. According to Lily, they met each other on a plane to Japan for the Fuji Rock Festival.
She said they got “hammered” together and decided to have sex in the toilet, while Liam was still married to All Saints’ Nicole Appleton. Lily even claimed things didn’t stop there as they had another tryst in a hotel before they lied to cover their tracks.
In her book, My Thoughts Exactly, Lily revealed: “We got hammered on the plane. At some point Liam and I found ourselves together in the toilet doing something that we shouldn’t have been doing, and it wasn’t drugs. Then we were in a lie-down bed together.
“When we landed in Tokyo, Liam said, in his distinctive nasal twang, ‘What you doing now? Why don’t you come back to our hotel…’ I was like, ‘Yeah, OK.'” Lily said she had no idea Liam was married to Nicole at the time.
She claimed Liam told her “no one can hear about this” and that’s when she realised he was married. The singer admitted she’d fancied Liam thanks to growing up as an Oasis fan.
Lily has recently been going through her own heartbreak following her split from Stranger Things actor David Harbour. They began dating in 2019 before they tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2020.
After four years together, they quietly went their separate ways, with their separation confirmed earlier this year. Lily found that David had a secret profile on the celebrity dating app Raya.
