The WWE star made his first public appearance after former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor called for a fight with Jake Paul’s older brother

Logan Paul appeared to drop a hint that his proposed fight with UFC star Conor McGregor could take place next year.

Earlier this week, former two-division UFC champion McGregor revealed that he is in talks to fight Jake’s older brother, Logan. In a recent post to social media, the 36-year-old denied reports of a fight with UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria, and instead confirmed he will take on Paul.

McGregor said: “The rumours of a bout with Topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.” With a net worth of over £40billion, the Ambani family are the richest in the India.

Paul has yet to officially comment on the fight. However, he recently took to social media to share a poster depicting himself and McGregor with a grab of the Irishman’s tweet and the eyes emoji. The American has been a real star in the WWE over the last few years but recently claimed to have retired after becoming a father.

Despite those claims, Paul now appears to be at the front of the promotion’s plans when they move across to Netflix next year. During a recent WWE promo, Logan appeared to pay tribute to one of the Irishman’s most iconic quotes. ‘The Maverick’ is set to return on January 6 for Monday Night Raw.

While promoting his sensational return, the 29-year-old dropped a famous McGregor quote as he addressed fans in attendance. “If you have something I want, I’m gonna take it…’Logan Paul’s a bully’. Yeah! I am the bully! And the WWE is my playground!” Paul said. “So look, I’m not here to take part, I’m here to take over. Your approval means nothing to me. Whether you love me or hate me, I don’t care, because you’re still watching.”

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are set to lock horns again on December 21 with the Brit attempting to avenge his defeat by the Ukrainian in May. Victory for Fury could also set up a huge domestic showdown with bitter rival Anthony Joshua next year

Paul previously called out the Irishman before he took on his former teammate Dillon Danis in a boxing bout last year. ” Conor McGregor is an average MMA fighter and a horrible boxer,” he said. “I’m going to beat the s*** out of his b**** Dillon and then I’m going beat the s*** out of him.

“He ghosted me, he won’t even bet a million dollars on his fighter. That’s chump change for a guy like Conor, he won’t even bet a million dollars on Dillon. He had nothing to say when I called him out on Twitter. So do you think that he’s going to step in there himself? I don’t know, feels unlikely.” After beating Danis, Paul added: “Conor McGregor, you see that?. I took your b****, put him on a leash and took him for a walk. Who’s the real fighter now?”
