The video was shared alongside a message reading: “Double Decker bus on fire with blazing flames, near Colney Hatch Lane, N10.” Another X user shared a picture of the bus, adding: “Suggest colleagues avoid the North Circular eastbound at Friern Barnet.” The Met Police said in a statement: “Firefighters were called to a bus alight on Atlas Road in New Southgate this evening. Most of the double-decker bus was damaged by fire. One man left the bus before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries. The Brigade’s Control Officers took the first of eight calls to the fire at 1927 and the fire was under control by 2003. Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters from Finchley and Hornsey fire stations attended the scene.”
