Love Is Blind star Sam Klein took part on the first series of the UK show last year and is now set to become a dad for the first time after sharing the exciting news on Instagram
Love Is Blind UK star Sam Klein has revealed he’s all set to become a dad for the first time, just weeks after announcing his engagement to fiancé Shani Goldstein. The 31-year-old took to Instagram to share a series of pictures of the pair on a beach.
In the snaps, the loved-up-pair could be seen hugging, with Shani sporting her baby bump and both of them holding their hands over her stomach. He gushed: “This time last year I went through my toughest times coming off the back of love is blind and it wasn’t easy.
“I gave up on everything and locked myself in my room. BUT 12 months later I’m engaged to the love of my life and we are expecting our first baby.

“Life is a journey but just remember when you are down and out you can always come back stronger! Thank you to everyone who believed in me and gave me the chance.”
Their announcement comes just weeks after the pair revealed their engagement on Instagram with a series of sweet snaps. In the pictures, Sam was seen down on one knee in front of Big Brother Israel star Shani as the couple were surrounded by candles on a rooftop overlooking a city skyline.
The second picture showed the two embracing one another as he captioned it: “Here goes nothing,” with an engagement ring emoji.
Sam took part on the first series of Love Is Blind UK star last year and it’s safe to say he had a rocky road on the show. He formed a connection with Nicole Stevens while in the pods and later popped the question to her, with her saying yes.
However, Nicole ended things after they got to Greece for the couple’s trip and ended up getting with Benaiah Grunewald-Bridey and got engaged to him. Viewers questioned Sam’s motives for being on the show and thought he was a producer plant and coined him a villain as well as a “red flag”.
The backlash led to Sam feeling like he “didn’t want to be around anymore” and left him in a very dark and low place.
Speaking to The Sun last year, he bravely admitted: “The first few days…yeah, the first few days I questioned everything, and I fell into a very dark place, I have to be honest.
“I tried to be really brave and tell everyone I’m absolutely fine, but I spent a few days on my own in my flat, and just sort of locked myself in my room.
“I tried to just tell everyone ‘I’m fine. It’s going to be fine’, but then it got to Friday, and someone from production welfare called me, and I just broke down on the phone.
“I was like ‘I can’t do this anymore. I have to be honest, I’m struggling’.”
“I think in hindsight, I wish I did it on day one and I didn’t wait three days to do it,” he says of speaking out.
“But it’s tough because if I’d actually committed a crime, or hurt someone, I’d get it. I just felt a bit hard done by.”
The second series of Love Is Blind UK is currently airing on Netflix, with four engaged couples living together, ahead of their make-or-break weddings.
Viewers will have to tune in to the streaming platform on Wednesday (August 27) to see which of the pairings will actually tie the knot and prove love is truly blind, after forming connections without seeing one another.
