A former Love Island star has confirmed that he’s split from his partner just months after they went public with their relationship last year. The reality TV star has revealed that he’s now dating again but said that he’s “taking it slow”.

Jack Keating, 26 – who appeared on the ITV2 show in 2022 – had been in a relationship with midwife Abby Phillips until weeks ago. They are said to have gone public with their romance for Halloween in October last year. Jack doesn’t appear to have any photos of Abby on his Instagram page now and shared three weeks ago that he was “newly single”.

The islander – who is the eldest of Ronan Keating’s three children with his first wife Yvonne Connolly – previously revealed that he had known Abby for a “long time” before they got together. He shared details of their relationship with EVOKE whilst at the premiere of the recent Boyzone documentary No Matter What in Ireland back in January.

Jack said he reached out after they both became single. He told the outlet: “We kind of knew each other for a long time, I had a girlfriend she had a boyfriend for a while so we kind of just kept up-to-date with each other and then I became single, she became single, I saw her on Hinge on a dating app and I was like right let me slide into those DMs there.”

He also shared that they had drinks in Dublin for their first date. He said: “We just went for drinks in town got to know each other a little bit, hit it off and the rest is history.”

Just weeks later, Jack told Goss.ie last month that he was “newly single” and that he was dating again. Speaking to the outlet at the Gossies 2025, he said: “I was actually on a date last night – went pretty well. I’m doing the rounds.” He said: “Taking it slow though.” He added that he’s taking it “very slow”.

Jack is best known for having appeared on the eighth series of Love Island, which aired in the summer of 2022. He made his debut during Casa Amor and ended up being dumped from the villa in Majorca just days after his arrival.

Some time after leaving the villa, Jack discovered that he was to become a father. He later announced the birth of his daughter Maya, now two, whom he shares with Keely Iqbal, to fans on Instagram back in March 2023.

Last month, Jack celebrated his daughter Maya’s second birthday with a post on the platform. He paid tribute to the toddler alongside a series of photos, with him saying that she brings “so much joy and happiness” to her family.

Jack wrote: “Still can’t believe my little princess is 2 today. You bring so much joy and happiness to everyone in your life and I love you so much.” He used a red heart emoji and then concluded by writing to her: “Happy Birthday Maya.”
