‘Ongoing police incident’
National Highways revealed the M60 was closed due to a ‘police incident’ which was still ‘ongoing’.
In a statement, National Highways said: “At around 07:00 this morning ,27/07, National Highways Traffic Officers were dispatched to assist Greater Manchester Police with a closure of the M60 anti-clockwise.
“At around 09:00 the clockwise carriageway was closed at J10 to support the ongoing police incident.”
It is currently not clear what the incident is.
