Former Made in Chelsea star Louise Thompson has shared her go-to autumn knee high boots that ‘work on big or small calves’ and allow you to select the exact width that you need
When it comes to autumn footwear, there’s nothing more timeless and chic than a pair of knee high boots. Perfect for styling with everything from midi dresses to jeans, they’re an absolute wardrobe staple.
However, if you have wider calves finding a pair that fits perfectly can be a challenge, which is why Louise Thompson couldn’t wait to rave about her latest find. She shared a photo of herself on Instagram wearing the DuoBoots Oakford Knee High Boots in Dark Brown Leathe, £275, writing: “They’re great because they work well on big or small calves. I’ve got BIG calves for my size.”

Not only are Louise’s go-to boots perfect for those with wider calves, but they’re also a great choice for those with particularly petite legs who struggle to find a great-fitting pair of long boots. This is because you can select exactly the width that you’d like your boot shaft to come in, so you can get a perfect fit.
Once you’ve selected the shoe size you need, you’ll be able to choose which calf size you’d like, with eight different options spanning from 30cm to 50cm. The full-length side zip also means they’re easy to slip on and off.
As well as being a perfect fit, the DuoBoots are super comfortable thanks to their memory foam insole and their soft, supple nubuck leather outers. The leather makes them long-lasting and hardwearing, not to mention fully waterproof, and they have a black rubber tread sole that’s both sturdy and practical.
