Married At First Sight star Ross McCarthy has dropped a bombshell on his fans just hours after the reunion show.
Ross’ split from his on-screen wife Sacha Jones was confirmed in the reunion episode and now he has gone Instagram-official with his new love interest just hours later. Ross and Sacha were thought to be a solid pairing throughout the recent season but it seems the pressures of being on the show led to them drifting apart.
The prospect of a long-distance relationship also took its toll on Ross and Sacha as he has a child and a job in Manchester while Sacha wanted to settle down in the Midlands, meaning a big upheaval for Ross if they wanted a future together. The difficult subject matter caused a few arguments between the pair and some even believed that it was the reason why Sacha burst into tears and ran off during their final vows, but she later claimed it was about a different matter.
Fans of the show thought the pair would be able to work things out but the dramatic reunion episode saw it confirmed to their former cast-mates that they had in fact split when the show ended. Ross then wasted no time in debuting his new romance on social media as he confirmed he has found love elsewhere within hours of the show ending.
Sharing a video to his Instagram account he was seen running along a beach with his new girlfriend as they jumped into each others arms and embraced. laughing and smiling. He captioned the post: “The moment I been waiting for…. The real deal. My world,” adding the soundtrack of Billie Eilish’s romantic hit Birds Of A Feather.
Ross tagged the woman seen in the video as @magda11122, but her account on the social media platform is private. However, it has been reported that Ross has been hinting at a romance with the woman from Cheshire who is an aesthetics practitioner for several months, according to The Tab.
He was reportedly dropping compliments on her posts including “Looking hot”, and “Little queen” as far back as August. While he was happy making his announcement some fans appeared a little confused over the timing of him finding new love. But MAFS was filmed at least six months prior and he stayed within the production rules by not going public with his romance until all episodes had aired.
One fan commented: “Wait I thought moved to sasha home after! The show I see he apparently said he moved to herd straight away – what I am missing,” as another expressed their disappointment simply writing, “What happened [sad emoji].”
However, others were happy to see Ross finding what he was looking for as one fan posted: “Aw happy you got your happy ending with someone,” Another said: “So glad you’ve found the happiness you so truly deserve!!” A third added: “Yes Ross and this is what I’m talking about get in ur amazing and deserve all of this.”
