Daniel’s next of kin have been made aware and are being supported by specialist officers.

Detective Inspector Aytac Necati, leading the investigation, said previously: “Sadly, a man has lost his life in the most horrendous of circumstances. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time. We understand the effect this will have on the local community, and will ensure that officers are deployed on reassurance patrols to respond to any questions or concerns.

“Two men have already been arrested. Detectives are working hard to establish the circumstances of what happened.

“At this time, we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
