Marcus Rashford has once again demonstrated his worth for Barcelona after netting a double in their emphatic Champions League demolition of Olympiakos. It was a brilliant night for the Catalan giants as they won 6-1.

The Manchester United loanee found the net twice in the second half and he also earned a spot-kick that Lamine Yamal coolly slotted home. Rashford now matches Real Madrid superstar, Kylian Mbappe, for goal contributions in the tournament this 2025/2026 campaign.

Mbappe has five goals, while Rashford has notched four goals plus an assist. Elsewhere, Fermin Lopez scored a superb ha-trick and Ayoub El Kaabi grabbed a consolation effort.

That post sparked reactions from Lopez, who commented: “Weapooon,” accompanied by three fire emojis, while teammate Roony Bardghji responded: “Rashyyy,” with a kiss and heart emoji.

On his Instagram stories, the England international also sent Lopez a brief message. He shared a photo of the pair together – complete with ‘football’ and ‘applause’ emojis.

Rashford has made a sensational impression at the Camp Nou on the back of his loan transfer from United. Having swiftly adjusted to Hansi Flick’s tactical approach, he has already voiced his ambition to remain at Barcelona “for as long as possible.”

“I want to stay as long as possible at Barcelona,” he previously revealed to TNT Sports. “I have to focus on doing my job and helping the team in any way I can.

“I can feel the confidence that Flick has given me. I knew he was great – before I signed – but working with him is a real pleasure.”
