Maura Higgins has opened up on her true feelings towards former flame Curtis Pritchard as he gets ready to look for love once more on Love Island All Stars
Former Love Island star Maura Higgins has revealed the truth about her former relationship with Curtis Prichard as he joins the show once more.
The duo became an item in the Mallorcan villa back in 2019 and went on to share a relationship in the outside world for eight months. Despite appearing solid, the pair went their separate ways, with Irish Maura now heavily linked with former TOWIE man Pete Wicks.
Curtis, meanwhile, is hoping to finally find his match in the South African abode on the All Star version of the hit ITV dating show. And prior to his entrance, Maura has spilled the beans on her thoughts of her ex flame.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, Maura exclaimed her and Curtis’ romance wasn’t a true passion. “You’re in this confined space and maybe you think you like someone that you probably wouldn’t on the outside,” she confessed.
She is reportedly “worried” Curtis could share a number of secrets about their time together when he re-enters the show. Prior to the full line-up being confirmed, a source told The Sun: “Curtis signing for All Stars is more than awkward for Maura just as she’s fallen for Pete and they’ve finally gone public with their love.
“Her break-up with Curtis wasn’t the best and Maura always worried he’d be the ex that could blab. It’s also less than ideal when she’s hoping to build on her I’m A Celebrity profile and advance her career.”
Curtis recently opened up to the Mirror about his brutal dumping of Amy Hart which seen him link up with Maura in series five. It led to blonde Amy walking from the villa after being unwilling to continue her journey. He said: “I think with that whole Amy situation, there’s a Casa Amor bit that we may all be forgetting about.
“You’re not able to talk to your other half there, so it changes the reality of things ever so slightly. My one goal that I wanted to do when that Casa Amor bit happened was to be able to talk to Amy and let her know how I’m feeling and that it wasn’t Amy. You can’t do that in that scenario so there isn’t anything I could learn or change from that too much really. It’s a bit of a tricky one there. I feel like I’m normally – touch wood – very respectful. I try to be anyway.”
Alongside Curtis, fans will see a number of former Love Island favourites enter the villa. The full line-up includes the likes of Marcel Somerville, Luca Bish, Nas Majeed and India Reynolds as they all bid to find their own happy ever after story at the second time of asking.
