McDonald’s fans have voiced their upset after a “go-to burger” was removed from its UK menus. As regular diners at the place with the golden arches will know, McDonald’s regularly updates its offering, with some menu items being removed, and others being added in their place.

For instance, from tomorrow (Wednesday), McDonald’s is offering a new Sausage Sandwich breakfast item nationwide. But the removal of one burger has not gone down well, as many Reddit users can attest. One person using the online platform wrote: “Why did they get rid of the triple cheeseburger? After a night out at uni my go to was getting 3 triple cheeseburgers to go”. [sic]

They added: “I am outraged, dismayed and absolutely flabbergasted.” The triple cheeseburger fan’s comments were echoed in another post, which demands to know “why” it was removed and adds: “It was the best thing they added to the menu and so simple for them to make.”

Other people were quick to comment, lamenting the triple cheeseburger’s removal. One wrote: “Was the only thing I ever ordered, I won’t be going any more” and a second said: “Same here, for years I only ever order the triple, I tried double the other day and it’s just not the same…”

A third said: “I literally don’t go Maccies any more since they stopped selling these” [sic] and a fourth wrote: “I seemed to have totally missed it was being taken off the menu.

“It was the ONLY reason I ever went in that place any more. I went to get one today and was fuming. I settled for a double and hated it to be honest.”

The Triple Cheeseburger was taken off McDonald’s menus back in June. The burger, which was priced at around £3, depending on location, consisted of three 100% beef patties, pickles, chopped onions, ketchup, mustard, and cheese slices, nestled between a bun.
