Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary today and to mark the special day, Meghan took to Instagram to share a selection of never-before-seen snaps on a mood board

Meghan Markle has shared a selection of never-before-seen photos as she and Prince Harry celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary today. The Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram to post a noticeboard showing pictures throughout her and Harry’s relationship, including intimate snaps of them on holiday, pictures of Meghan pregnant and even never-before-seen snaps of their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Accompanying the post, she wrote: “Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories. Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story – we appreciate you. Happy anniversary!”

Harry and Meghan tied the knot seven years ago in a fairytale ceremony at Windsor Castle. Back then, they were seen as a couple who could help to take the monarchy into the modern age and certainly appeared to hit the ground running.

But less than two years after tying the knot, they dramatically quit their royal roles, upping sticks and moving to California, shocking the world. Now seven years on from their memorable wedding day, much has changed. Meghan has launched her own lifestyle business, As Ever, and has recently returned to Instagram, where she shows fans snippets of her wholesome life in Montecito.

Meanwhile, Harry is now focusing on his charitable endeavours. Much has been made about the couple’s differing career paths, especially as Meghan once remarked in 2022 that she and Harry were like salt and pepper as they “always move together”.

This also led to cruel speculation about their relationship, despite the fact that over several recent appearances, especially at the Invictus Games in Canada and at a Beyoncé concert in LA, the couple looked as tactile as ever. But according to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, many things might have changed for the couple – but one thing remains.

She told the Mirror : “There’s a silly old saying about the seven-year itch, but, to my eye, Harry and Meghan look as solid a couple as ever. Who knows what really goes on inside a marriage? But unless the two of them are putting on one hell of an act, they remain very much in love and extremely supportive of one another.

“It also seems quite extraordinary that it’s only seven years since Meghan walked up that aisle and took her place in the Royal Family. It was a day filled with love and hope, and she seemed to represent exactly what a modern monarchy needed. So much has happened since that day – and most of it makes very depressing reading.

“However, it seems to me that one thing has remained unchanged – and that is the love they apparently felt for one another almost from the moment they met.

“And for those who, like me, knew Harry a little when he was much younger and have watched him grow up and then despaired of all he has said and written, it is at least a comfort to think that he has found his own happiness.

“When they started out, Meghan was very much the apprentice – learning the royal ropes, with Harry as her mentor. Now they have two very separate paths, but that can be good for a marriage: each doing what they know and excel at and coming home with lots to talk about with a supportive partner who can help test out ideas. Lots of couples are stronger for having different careers or interests.”

Harry and Meghan wed in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018, with them soon welcoming their firstborn son Prince Archie.

The following year, Harry and Meghan decided to step down as senior royals and moved to California, before they then welcomed their second child, Princess Lilibet, in June 2021.
