A Mexican public security analyst warned more horror sites run by drug cartels could be uncovered. He explained how these other potential locations could look and what other terrifying buildings they could run

Mexico’s deadliest drug cartel could have an entire infrastructure of horrifying alleged death camps and hospitals waiting to be uncovered. The infamous Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) has been previously caught running a huge campus including alleged training sites where resisters were slaughtered.

Mexicans and investigators were shocked when a site littered with ashes, bone fragments and even alleged crematoriums was discovered raising fears it had potentially been used as a torture or death location. A Mexican public security analyst warned more of the horror cartel group’s terrifying buildings could be uncovered in some of Mexico’s drug war zones.

Analyst David Saucedo claimed CJNG’s huge reach and terrifying influence meant there were more of these alleged training and murder camps to be uncovered. He told Infobae: “There must be training and extermination camps.”

This comes after an alleged “death camp” was discovered in March in Teuchitlan, just outside the major city of Guadalajara. Saucedo claimed this discovery has just scratched the surface of the group’s potential horror sites.

He said: “It must be assumed that what we saw at Rancho Izaguirre in Teuchitlán, Jalisco, is being repeated in other states across the country. The CJNG is a growing group that requires the constant recruitment of new troops. In the medium to long term, more training and extermination centres will be found; but they will also find hospitals to treat their wounded hitmen. We will uncover an entire drug infrastructure.”

Saucedo revealed why he believed the CJNG would have city-like buildings including hospitals. He added: “The CJNG and the Sinaloa Cartel are actually armies. Just as the National Guard, the Navy, and the Defense Ministry have training academies, so do drug traffickers; just as the Army has hospitals, so do drug traffickers; they also have supply chains for weapons and ammunition.

“They are armies in dispute and they have an entire infrastructure and support network that allows them to keep that attack force alive (…) It must be assumed that what happened in Teuchitlán is not an isolated case.”

The Mexican security minister said last week that there was no evidence of the so-called “ranch of horror” at Rancho Izaguirre but they did not rule this chilling theory out. They said the site was believed to a cartel training spot where people who resisted recruitment were killed. Hundreds of shoes and backpacks were found at the site.

Discovering mass graves is not uncommon in Mexico but the possibility this location was used for mass murders has shocked Mexico. Days after the horror find, fears were sparked of another “death camp” after a grim smell led people to human bodies. Neighbours in the municipality of Macuspana, Tabasco, raised the alarm when a sickening smell came from an empty house.
