After Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright announced their baby daughter’s name is Palma Elizabeth, fans speculated that she may have been conceived on the Spanish island of Mallorca
Fans of Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright have speculated that their baby daughter may have been conceived near Palma de Mallorca.
The couple welcomed little Palma Elizabeth Wright on March 6 and announced the happy news this afternoon. In a post shared on Instagram, they wrote: “Together we have a new love to share… Our little girl [white love heart emoji]. Palma Elizabeth Wright 06.03.25.”
The new parents own a luxury apartment on the Spanish island, near the city of Palma, which they renovated in 2023. And given their baby’s name, some fans are convinced she was conceived there.
After Michelle and Mark posted a black-and-white photo of little Palma, a fan said: “I wonder if they were in Majorca 9 months ago. An unusual but beautiful name.” Another commented: “Gorgeous name, wonder if it has any links considering they’ve got a place in Spain.”
A third added: “A gorgeous Spanish name.” One more said: “Gorgeous name. Huge congratulation. Being a mum/dad is the best job in the whole wide world.” The girl’s middle name, Elizabeth, is a sweet tribute to her mum as the actress’ full name is Michelle Elizabeth Keegan.
Celebrities also congratulated Michelle and Mark as Joe Wicks said: “I’m crying over here. I know how much you’ve wanted to be a dad and you’ll be an amazing dad too. This is the most beautiful thing to see. So happy for you both.”
Actress and singer Natalie Anderson commented: “Oh what beautiful news!!! Congratulations to you both darling!” Heart Radio wrote: “Sending so much love! Welcome Palma!!!” Actress Amber Davies added: “Oh my heart – welcome to the world perfect Palma.” Ashley Louise James commented: “Also I hope you’re ok mama and you had a positive experience bringing her into the world.”
Michelle first shared the news that she was pregnant in December. The actress and her husband posted a photo where they were seen on a beautiful sandy beach, with the expectant mother cradling her baby bump and Mark looking at her. “2025 is going to be a special one for us…” the pair, who tied the knot in 2015, three years after meeting in Dubai, penned on Instagram.
During her pregnancy, Michelle shared some updates with her followers including some “self-care January” photos from a spa trip to a cosy evening watching The Traitors at home. The actress also revealed she was “craving sugary stuff” while pregnant as she told Grazia: “I’ll eat a chocolate bar while walking around the supermarket and just give them the wrapper at the checkout.”
