Michelle Keegan was left stunned when she posed alongside Hollywood icon Reese Witherspoon, who has recently released a new book with Harlan Coben

Michelle Keegan has shared a snap posing with a Hollywood superstar while saying “two geniuses collide”. The former Coronation Street actress took to her Instagram page to share a post which featured Legally Blonde star Reese Witherspoon.

The reason the two crossed paths was due to Michelle attending an event to promote Reese’s new book, which she has co-written with Harlan Coben, called Gone Before Goodbye.

Michelle also has her own connections to the iconic author as she took on the star role in the Netflix adaptation of Fool Me Once. Michelle posed with Reese as they both beamed for the camera while getting to know each other.

Alongside the series of photos, Michelle wrote: “When two genuises collide.. ‘Gone Before Goodbye’ is made! (I can confirm Reese Witherspoon is everything you’d imagined her to be, what a woman).”

Michelle was also seen chatting with author Harlan during the event as well. Friends and fans of the star took to the comment section to share their thoughts. One person said: “Oh how magical! You deserve it.”

As a second pointed out: “I would rather meet THEE MICHELLE KEEGAN, than Reese,” with a third adding: “Beautiful girl and a brilliant actress.”

“Two beautiful and brilliant actresses meeting,” said a fourth. The exciting moment for Michelle came soon after her £100,000 car was targeted by vandals recently.

On Wednesday, October 15, the actress, 37, shared the damage to the paintwork on her car to her 7.5million Instagram followers, and she had some choice words for whoever was responsible.

In the short clip uploaded to her Stories, she pointed at the long scratch on her car door and wrote: “Hope the person who did this felt better bout themselves afterwards [thumb up emoji] scruffs.”

She then filmed herself sitting in the car and wrote: “Smiling on the outside, screaming on the inside, working out how not to let it ruin my day. Why though??”

Michelle and her husband Mark Wright haven’t had much luck over the last few months, as this isn’t the first time they have been targeted by vandals.

Just eight months ago, the famous couple’s £3.5million Essex home was the target of four masked burglars while they were still inside it.

Mark yelled out at the time, which prompted the gang to flee empty-handed in a getaway car. Police were also alerted via their state-of-the-art security system and arrived at the mansion within minutes.

Mark, 38, and Michelle were said to be relieved but “very shaken up” by the scary ordeal but were relieved for nothing to have been taken from their home.
