These remote-controlled delivery vehicles will be delivering festive goodies to hundreds of households around London, Cardiff, Manchester, Leeds, and Glasgow next week

Asda make home delivery using gnome-sized delivery vans

Talk about a miniature miracle on wheels! These tiny vans are set to dish out freebies to lucky households next week.

The nifty remote-controlled delivery machines are gnome-sized versions of Asda’s iconic home delivery vans, shrunken down to just 1/10th of the size.

At just 70cm in length and standing a mere 30cm tall, these diminutive wonders are just right for a gnome driver, and with ample space to pack a bijou Christmas shop in the back.

Want to get your hands on mini mince pies and other petite treats? Well, you’re in luck!

You can ‘gnominate’ your household for a chance to receive these dinky delights around London, Cardiff, Manchester, Leeds, and Glasgow until 5th December.

An Asda representative enthused: “We’ve been blown away by the love customers have for our gnomes and our pint-sized Gnome Delivery vans are a really fun way for us to keep spreading that joy this Christmas.”

The chain’s gnome-focused Xmas campaign is a viral sensation, with over 25 million views clocked on social media alone. The festive adverts feature the ‘gnomies’ as saviours, aiding snowbound Asda workers in prepping for the Yuletide rush.

And now, those same beloved characters – Max, Gnorma, Gnibbles, Gnarla, and Gnicky – are back at it, navigating the teeny transporters.

You can spot them zooming around London on Monday 9th December, hitting Cardiff on Tuesday 10th, making tracks to Manchester Wednesday 11th, delivering in Leeds on Thursday 12th, and wrapping up in Glasgow on Friday 13th.

An Asda representative further commented: “Our Christmas range is all about helping our customers to have their best Christmas ever, and additional touches like these little vans delivering free festive treats are the cherry on top.”
