An American boxer has claimed Molly-Mae Hague sent flirtatious messages to him during her split from Tommy Fury – with Chase DeMoore sharing what he claims to be the real DMs

Molly-Mae Hague is said to have sent flirty messages to an American boxer before reuniting with Tommy Fury – that sources deny. The former Love Island star has become the centre of a shock leaked text scandal as she holidays with her former fiancé in Dubai.

Sources close to Molly-Mae have branded the messages fake after TV star-turned-boxer Chase DeMoor posted alleged screenshots. He made the wild claim following a dispute with Tommy’s brother Roman, who he was set to fight. Chase has since pulled out of the Misfits boxing match but declared he is “going for the whole family”.

After insisting the “gloves are off”, Chase shared a screenshot of messages he claimed to have been sent by Molly-Mae. He said the messages are real, but fans have also accused them of being “so fake” and completely out of character for the mum-of-one. In the messages, Chase appears to reach out to Molly-Mae.

He typed: “Hey beautiful, I’m in the UK, I know we didn’t really get a chance to see each other last time but I want to make it up to you”. In a reply branded “totally fake” by her fans, Molly-Mae allegedly replies: “Oh yh? How’s that babe?” Chase said back: “I’m thinking let’s get some Sushi and see where it leads.”

The account alleging to be Molly-Mae responded: “You think it’s just going to be easy? But what dates? If I’m around, let’s do it. I’ve never been out with an American before. Think that’s where I’m going wrong x,” alongside a heart face emoji. Chase added: “You won’t regret it, I promise” as Molly-Mae allegedly quipped: “We’ll see”.

Fans, as well as sources close to Molly-Mae, were quick to shut down the screenshots as they branded it a publicity stunt. One said: “This is so obviously fake” to which Chase stood by his claims and replied: “Def not”. Another added: “Molly-Mae would not say ‘oh yh.” Someone else commented: “There’s no way Molly-Mae would say ‘yh’ like that, and she don’t talk like that.”

A fan wrote: “It’s so fake it’s unreal, sorry but Molly ain’t about that life”, someone else quipped: “So fake.” Despite the denials it is true, Chase has stuck to his story. The TV star, who found fame on Netflix shows Perfect Match and Too Hot To Handle, also post a video where he doubled down on his claims.

He said: “Guys I was not joking when I said after I’m done with Roman Fury on March 29 that I’m going to be joining the family for Christmas next year. Look at these DMs from yours truly Molly-Mae. Molly-Mae, she loves me. What can I say. I’m part of the Fury family now.

“So after I’m done with Roman, he’s going to get disowned. And uhm, yeah. See you for Christmas next year buddy.” Back in 2022, it was revealed Roman would be joining his famous brothers Tyson and Tommy in launching a boxing career. He had no amateur experience, but was around his world heavyweight champion brother for years and started training with Jimmy Harrington.

Last summer, Molly-Mae and Tommy shocked fans by announcing their split. However, they have been enjoying reconnecting with each other and have headed off to Dubai on their first holiday as a reunited family. Sources claim Molly-Mae and Tommy, who met on love Island back in 2019, are now gearing up to officially announce their reunion – and are even thought to have filmed scenes showing their relationship is back on for Molly’s new Amazon Prime documentary, Molly-Mae: Behind It All.

It comes weeks after Molly-Mae opened up about wanting more kids and reuniting with Tommy in her documentary. Admitting she felt as though she could “burst into tears”, she shared: “Up until now, I had the mindset that we would end up back together one day, but right now, we need to be apart, and he needs to work on himself. But how it’s working this week is that maybe we are just done.”

After her sister Zoe urged Molly-Mae to “draw a line under the sand”, the former Love Island star admitted she couldn’t, explaining: “I don’t want to because I don’t want to end it. I knew we were going to get back together.” Molly-Mae then went on to clarify that the real reason why she coped so well with the break-up was because she believed it was only temporary.

The couple were together for five years and welcomed daughter Bambi in January 2023, before announcing their shock split last summer.

The Mirror has contacted Molly-Mae’s representative for comment.
