Molly showed off the smart tracking ring to her socials and it’s far more glamourous than a chunky smartwatch

Jewellery is becoming increasingly popular for people looking to track their goals and fitness as more are ditching the clunky silicone smartwatches for sleek smart rings and bracelets. You may be wondering how these elegant pieces can collate the all-important sleep and heart rate stats, well Molly Mae has become the latest person to show off just how accurate they can be.

Molly-Mae took to her Instagram story to share how ‘obsessed’ she has become with the OURA Ring. As a self-confessed ‘sleep lover’ she raved about the device for showing how much detail about light and deep sleep and exact hours of rest.

She even joked ‘me and this OURA Ring are in a new relationship’ saying how much she loves the Galaxy Ring rival – that’s Samsung’s alternative option. If you’ve been looking for a similar health-investment for yourself, the wearable is currently 28% off at Amazon.

Molly-Mae said: “It tracks steps, heart rate, it literally tells you when you’re coming down with something and it’s so accurate. I woke up the other morning feeling so under the weather and the app came up with a big alert telling me to ‘take it easy I’m coming down with something.

“I just love it so much, also it actually looks cute”, she was also quick to say that her Instagram story wasn’t an AD, so she hadn’t been paid or endorsed to promote the product. She also shared the exact detail that ring can track when it comes to sleep.

The Oura Ring picks up on the total amount of time spent aleep and breaks it down into efficiciency ratings, REM sleep, deep sleep and latency. For example she showed that out of the eight hours and 37minutes she was asleep for the REM sleep rating was 15% – this is associated with health and brain functions as your eyes move.

Usually costing a hefty £688 the Oura Ring 4 is on sale for £499, the lowest price in 28 days. Although the sale does come with a catch, shoppers can make the most of the discount and buy now but the item will only be ‘released’ on March 1, so it’s a pre-order.

As soon as the date hits, the Oura Ring orders will be shipped. One thing to note too, is you’ll want to buy a sizing kit first so that you know what size to order – which you can do here.

Price is a downside to the product and when it comes to the fitness tracking market OURA is one of the most expensive. Molly-Mae even touched on the cost herself saying it’s ‘definitely an investment’.

Alternatively Samsung is offering a trade-in deal with its rival Galaxy Ring (which comes with a free sizing kit on purchase). Priced at £399 it’s significantly cheaper, plus you can get between £30 and £120 off when you hand over an old mobile – potentially dropping the price to £279 depending on the model you trade.
