Molly-Mae’s Love Island audition tape revealed in anniversary show
Molly-Mae Hague’s Love Island 2019 audition tape has been revealed to celebrate the show’s 10-year anniversary, where Molly discusses the ‘last guy’ she was with before meeting Tommy Fury.
The episode, named Love Island: Decade Of Love, took viewers on a journey over the past 10 years, sharing the most iconic moments that had everyone feeling nostalgic.
Jumping from clips filled with arguments, tears and laughter, the episode turned to ‘uneen audition clips’ where a young Molly-Mae popped up on screen wearing her iconic large bun on the top of her head.
Revealing confessions about her love life before Tommy. Molly said: “The last guy I was with literally told me I was too much for him to handle. Whatever too much actually means”.
At 20 years old, Molly-Mae entered the villa on Day 4, and, after meeting in a hot tub, chose to pair with amateur boxer Tommy Fury. Their connection was immediate, and they quickly became one of the season’s most talked-about couples. They went on to welcome baby girl Bambi in January 2023.
In July 2023, Tommy proposed to Molly-Mae during a romantic cliffside sunset while on holiday. The proposal, shared through an emotional video on Instagram, featured Tommy holding Bambi and presenting Molly-Mae with a ring in a heartwarming moment that captured the public’s imagination. Molly-Mae later described the engagement as ‘perfect’ and ‘completely unexpected’.
The couple then announced their split in August 2024 after five years together, shocking fans around the world. Tommy later revealed that his struggle with alcohol was the primary cause of the breakup. He admitted to excessive drinking following hand surgery, which led to a decline in his mental health and strained their relationship.
In early 2025, they were seen together on holiday in Dubai, sparking speculation about a possible reconciliation, which Molly has now confirmed.
Molly-Mae confirmed she was back with Tommy last month after she opened up about their relationship on a new episode of her reality series, Molly-Mae: Behind It All.
Discussing her relationship, Molly said things were looking “much better” for the couple, but conceded that ‘nothing was certain’. The reality star said: “Things are looking so much better for us. I’m gonna start spending more time at Tommy’s house, keeping things slow and not rushing anything.”
Adding: “But as always, I always say I don’t know what the future holds. I don’t think it’s gonna be a plain sailing future. I don’t. That’s just me being honest. I think we’re still gonna have bumps.”
Molly has been keeping busy with work opportunities since her Love Island days. The influencer has partnered with multiple brands, became Pretty Little Things’ creative director, welcomed a baby girl with Tommy and started her very own clothing line, just to name a few things.
