Incest monster Josef Fritzl, who raped and imprisoned his daughter for 24 years in a dungeon built under the family home in Austria, claims to be a friend of Donald Trump as his dementia deteriorates
Josef Fritzl has boasted he is friends with Donald Trump and believes the US president sends him secret messages through hand signals from the White House, says his lawyer.
The incest monster was jailed for life for the shocking rape and imprisonment of his daughter for 24 years in a dungeon built under the family home in Austria. Last year, judges in Krems, Lower Austria, ruled Fritzl, who turns 90 on April and suffers from dementia, could be transferred from a secure psychiatric unit to a regular prison.
Now it has emerged that Fritzl has told his lawyer how all the hand movements made by Trump at live media briefings are secret signs meant only for him.
He also claims that the audience clapping heard during his favourite televised folk music shows is applause for him from a “grateful” Austrian public.

Fritzl is currently incarcerated at Stein prison in Krems but is expected to be transferred to a regular prison soon with a psychiatrist having said that he is no longer a threat to the public. His lawyer Astrid Wagner told local media that Fritzl’s dementia is worsening.
As well as fantasies about Trump and applause, she says he has told her that Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker had called him asking him to “look after the children”. Ms Wagner said: “In truth, he needs special therapy.”
She previously told he Fritzl believes that he would receive a great ‘fanfare’ on his release from prison. Ms Wagner said: “He believes that when he is released, he will come out to a big celebration with people cheering and music and wanting to shake his hand. This is obviously not the case. It is a fantasy. I don’t think he fully understands what the world really thinks.
“Every time I see him, he says he regrets his decisions every day. He has ruined his life. He always talks about his regrets about his crimes. He thinks he has friends on the outside, but he hasn’t. One thing he accepts is that his family no longer want to see him and respects that.”
She said that former electrical engineer Fritzl, who created a lair under his family home in the quiet town of Amstetten to imprison his daughter Elisabeth and her children, said he passes his days in his cell reading and watching TV.
Fritzl, it has emerged, is already planning for a life after prison, and has reportedly asked for help finding a remote property in the Austrian countryside.
Chillingly his most important requirement is that the house must have a basement where, his lawyer says, he claims he wants to store his archive. Fritzl told her: “You know, I have so many files, documents and memories.”
Ms Wagner is now seeking to have him transferred to a facility that specialises in dementia care, arguing that the regular prison system is no longer appropriate for him.
Despite the delusions, Fritzl is said to be in fair physical shape for his age. When asked how he feels about his upcoming milestone birthday, Ms Wagner replied: “He wants to grow old. He wants to grow old enough to get out of prison.”
Whether Fritzl will get his wish is the responsibility of the General Directorate for Prisons and the Enforcement of Custodial Measures. Last spring, the Krems Regional Court ruled that Fritzl “no longer poses a danger that would necessitate his placement in a forensic therapeutic centre.”
They said that his combined personality disorder, the main reason for his incarceration in a psychiatric prison, had been suppressed by “progressive dementia”
