September is often popular with holidaymakers looking for an end-of-summer getaway, but a travel blogger has made the case for booking your next trip in another month. Posting on TikTok as @thenatalieway1, a travel lover named Natalie said there’s an “underrated month” that she considers “the best kept secret in the travel industry.”
In a popular video, Natalie revealed that November is the best month to book a holiday and shared her top recommendations. The blogger told viewers: “You’re booking the wrong month for travel and these five places prove it.”
She added: “November is the best-kept secret in the travel industry. Run don’t walk to these five places. Flights are cheap, weather is great if you choose carefully, and crowds are gone.”
Sharing her first destination, Natalie recommend Kyoto, Japan. “All of those beautiful cherry blossoms which bring all the crowds, they all change colour, and they’re absolutely spectacular in November,” she shared.
For her second tip, the travel lover suggested Marrakech, Morocco. She added: “The heat of the summer’s gone. Beautiful days, cool nights, and the markets are in full swing.”
Next, Natalie knew just the place for people dreaming of an Italian getaway: Venice. She said: “The cruise ships are mainly stopped by the start of November. You’ll have fewer crowds, a stunning time to be in Venice.”
She went on: “Seville in Spain. The summer heat’s gone, the summer crowds have gone, beautiful weather.” Natalie concluded: “Lastly, Chiang Mai in Thailand.
“If you get a chance to go to Chiang Mai in November, grab it. Loy Krathong, their water festival is on. Their festival of lights, absolutely stunning, one of the best experiences of my life.”
In her caption, the blogger added: “November is the most underrated month for travel—quiet, beautiful, and often less expensive.” Her video proved very popular, and it earned over 17,000 likes.
Someone commented: “Japan in November is my best kept secret!” Natalie replied: “Yes – I love this!! Japan in November really is on another level – the maples, the light, the calm in between tourist seasons. A perfect example of why timing matters as much as place.”
Another viewer wrote: “Mexico is fantastic in November,” and Natalie said: “Totally agree – Mexico in November is extraordinary. I was there during Día de los Muertos once, and it was one of the most beautiful, moving cultural experiences I’ve had.”
