Cleaning sensation Sophie Hinchliffe has revealed a little-known area of your home where fly poo builds up, and shared the nifty product that will leave you with a sparkling surface shine
It’s that time of the year when house flies make their dreaded return, but cleaning guru Mrs Hinch has revealed a gross fact about the pesky insects.
As part of her April cleaning challenge, the iconic Sophie Hinchliffe set herself the tedious task of cleaning the framework on her windows. Taking to Instagram, the online sensation updated followers of her progress, and snapped the tiny black droppings that were sitting in the gap next to the window tracks.
She then detailed the grim discovery, as she revealed: “If you ever see the little black dots, it’s fly crap – just FYI!” Mrs Hinch was also greeted by a number of dead ladybugs that were buried in the hard-to-reach area.
Hailed as the ‘Queen of Clean’ by fans, she then reached for her favourite products to help transform the neglected area. The first step saw the mum-of-two use a small brush to lift any poo that was stuck by the windows, before grabbing her cleaning cupboard essential – The Pink Stuff paste.
Mrs Hinch is famed for being “obsessed” with the nifty product, which can be bagged for £1.49 from B&M and ASDA. The paste has received rave reviews for its multifunctional properties, from cleaning grease and grime to sprucing up garden furniture.
In the online video, the cleaning whizz applied a small amount of the product onto an electric toothbrush, and rubbed around the window framework. Once completed, she wiped over the surface using a cloth and her trusty Mr Sheen multi surface spray.
Impressed with the transformation, Mrs Hinch concluded the task with: ”Cleaning window tracks and framework – check.” In a recent post, she answered some burning questions from her impressive 4.8 million followers about the best ways to tackle common issues in the home.
With her expertise in cleaning and organisation second to none in the influencer space, it’s no surprise that her fans were dying to know how she tackles the pesky problem of limescale that’s a bane in so many homes across the country. For the cleaning expert, there was only one option when it came to tackling limescale that so often pops up in our showers: Viakal Bathroom Limescale Remover Spray. Mrs Hinch absolutely swears by this one, revealing: “I’ve used it for years”.
What’s more, Viaklal will only set you back £2.99 at Tesco, or £3.00 at Sainsbury’s and Asda, and it’s wracked up thousands of reviews from seriously happy shoppers enjoying their now limescale-free homes. “What an amazing product. Limescale just disappears and taps sparkle. Highly recommend this product,” wrote one.
