M&S has revealed the opening date of its new flagship store in Bristol.

The supermarket will open its new branch in Cabot Circus in Bristol city centre on November 13. The 80,000 sq ft store will offer M&S food, clothing, home and beauty across three floors.

The foodhall is complete with an-store bakery, fresh market specials from M&S Select Farms and a wide range of M&S sandwiches, salads and wraps.

The M&S coffee shop will hold 200 seats and will offer freshly cooked breakfast rolls, toasties, wraps and sandwiches, alongside barista-made coffee and iced drinks.

M&S’ Bristol Cabot Circus is one of sixteen M&S stores opening across the UK this financial year, including Bath Southgate, as part of a £300million investment.

The opening at Cabot Circus is expected to create over 100 new local jobs. M&S opened its first stall in Bristol back in 1900 before moving to several locations across the city including Castle Street, East Street and Broadmead.

Ali Ivery, Regional Manager at M&S, said: “We’re so excited to say: Bristol, we are back. Our Cabot Circus flagship will be one of the most modern stores in the UK, showcasing the very best of M&S Food, Fashion, Home & Beauty for customers.

“We can promise state of the art features, innovative products and of course, more of that M&S magic – just in time for the festive season. Since we announced our return to Bristol last summer, the excitement has been growing and we cannot wait to open the doors.

“There’s still time to join the team, so visit M&S Careers, follow our store Facebook page for the latest updates and we look forward to seeing you on the 13th November.”

Cabot Circus is owned and managed by Hammerson. Toby Tait, Director Asset Management, at Hammerson, said: “We are thrilled the date is now set for M&S to launch its latest full-line offer in the heart of Bristol at Cabot Circus.

“We know there’s sky-high customer demand for M&S and we’re expecting a bumper festive period. M&S joins a range of new openings which are boosting our line-up of retail brands at a time of major investment throughout Cabot Circus.

“We’re also welcoming a brand-new cinema next year as part of our curated mix of leisure, eating and drinking experiences. It all supports Hammerson’s vision to manage and invest in a buzzing, multi-use destination at the centre of the community.”
