A mother-of-five chillingly foretold her own death just days before being decapitated by her husband amid accusations of infidelity.
Judith Nibbs, 60, who worked delivering meals to the elderly in Kirkham, Lancashire, was brutally slain by Dempsey Nibbs, 69, at their residence in Hoxton, east London on April 10, 2014.
Their marriage was deteriorating at the time, with Dempsey becoming increasingly paranoid that his wife was having affairs with other men.
After examining her computer and uncovering footage, explicit Skype conversations and bank payment records connected to a Moroccan man named Khalid, Judith confessed: “I have had sex eight times” and an argument erupted.
The crane operator would grab Judith by the neck and threaten to kill her on April 7, and just one day later, as she was finishing work, she told her workmates she feared the worst was yet to come, reports the Express.
“If I’m not in Friday, I might be dead,” she said, chillingly.
On the night of April 10, Dempsey would assault the mother of two of his children, rendering her unconscious with an iron bar before severing her head and attempting to flush it down the lavatory.
He would then pen a message to his 30 year old son, Kirk, and dial 999 to report two corpses at the address, with Dempsey intending to end his own life.
A police constable chose to force entry through the front door after spotting Judith’s corpse through the letterbox, then wrestling away a shotgun and blade from Dempsey as he tried to harm himself in the bathroom. The shamed husband confessed to murdering his wife, branding her a “snake”, although the jury was informed that there were no indications of mental illness.
Dempsey revealed to the court that he hadn’t intended to take Judith’s life but merely wanted to “slap her around a bit”, claiming it was only after she died that he chose to decapitate her as he felt “betrayed”.
The jury dismissed his self-defence argument and convicted him of murder, with the sentencing postponed to a future date yet to be determined.
