Oodie’s Black Puffer Boots are a must-have for winter and have been branded “better than Sketchers”. Here’s why we love them…

With the Met Office predicting a cold snap across much of the UK in the coming days, a pair of shoes that can keep your feet warm is a must-have. Skechers trainers are renowned for their comfort, even after a full day’s wear, but they might not be up to scratch when temperatures plunge below zero.

In my quest for practical winter footwear that could withstand the elements and be easily slipped on for everyday errands, I stumbled upon Oodie’s Puffer Boots. Not only did they tick all the boxes, but they were also on sale.

Oodie is primarily known for its hooded blankets, which have kept countless people cosy at home and helped reduce heating bills. Given the brand’s stellar reputation for its clothing, I was eager to see if its footwear would receive the same level of praise.

Retailing at £35, down from £59 in the brand’s winter clearance sale, Oodie’s Puffer Boots initially reminded me of The North Face’s Puffer Shoes – a £70 style I’ve been eyeing for some time. However, besides being £35 cheaper, Oodie’s boots had an additional advantage – a luxurious sherpa fleece interior lining, eliminating the need for thick socks to achieve a heavenly soft feel underfoot.

Having met both style and practicality criteria, I decided to take the leap and place my order. And I’m glad I did, reports the Manchester Evening News. Since my Oodie Puffer Boots arrived, I can honestly say I’ve worn them every single day.

These shoes are the ultimate autumn and winter footwear, combining the comfort of a slipper with the practicality of an outdoor shoe. They feature a cosy fleece lining and padded heel support, but also have a rubber sole that allows you to wear them outside without worrying about leaks or wear and tear.

I find them perfect for keeping my feet warm as I potter around the house (no socks required), which helps save on heating costs. As unglamorous as it may sound, they’re also brilliant for quick tasks like taking out the bins, thanks to a handy loop at the back that lets you slip them on easily.

They’ve been my go-to for numerous dog walks too. With their rubber soles and waterproof exterior, I can stroll through the park without fear of soggy feet.

While I can’t vouch for their performance in heavy rain (my French Bulldog and I prefer to stay dry), they’ve been excellent for walks on damp grass. They’ve even become my preferred driving shoes, saving my pricey Nike collection from unnecessary creases.

Oodie’s Puffer Boots have also won fans in my household – both my mum and aunty, who are in their 60s, want a pair. And it’s not just us; these boots boast an impressive near-perfect five-star rating on the Oodie website, with only one four-star review and no lower ratings.

Shoppers have been left over the moon with their new Oodie purchases, with one elated customer exclaiming: “These are very fluffy and you won’t need to wear thick socks.”

Another satisfied buyer revealed: “I bought these after my feet froze at a market I sell at. I don’t even have to wear socks and they are so comfy and warm. They also didn’t soak up the water on the dewy lawn.”

A third went so far as to say: “I absolutely love these. If I could wear them everywhere I would. I have feet prone to being cold and these shoes keep my feet warmer than All birds and Sketchers. Highly recommend these. Brilliant.”

Oodie’s Puffer Boots are currently on sale for £35 on the brand’s official website. If you’re in the market for something more akin to a wellington boot, Hunter’s Intrepid Tall Buckle Snow Boots in black will set you back £126. Alternatively, Debenhams is offering the Kenna Winter Boots from Trespass for £71.99, down from their original price of £118.99.
