A single EuroMillions ticket holder has scooped the staggering £34million jackpot this evening – and another eight-figure jackpot is up for grabs for UK players in just a few days’ time
EuroMillions players have been urged to check their numbers after a lucky winner scooped a massive eight-figure jackpot.
Lottery operators Allwyn announced this evening that just one person claimed a huge £34million win in tonight’s draw, which saw results announced for several competitions. EuroMillions, Millionaire Maker, EuroMillions Hotpicks and Thunderball results were all announced tonight in a post-Christmas flurry.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, hailed the win, revealing that the person who scooped the sum is living in Spain. He added the best may be yet to come in the New Year’s Eve draw, when another eight-figure sum is up for grabs.
Mr Carter said: “What a night for EuroMillions players in Spain, with a single ticket-holder winning the £34m EuroMillions jackpot! However, UK players should not fret, as this New Year’s Eve promises to be an amazing night. Alongside the estimated £14M jackpot on offer, there will also be 10 guaranteed UK millionaires made in the special EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker event draw.

Tonight’s big winner was among several thousand who managed to scoop a prize, with others netting wins between £10 and £30,000. While no one won the £1million EuroMillions Hotpicks prize tonight, four people scooped £30,000, 157 scored £1,500 and 2,035 took home £100. The majority of winners – 3,214 – took home £10.
