Most Brits are looking out for which supermarket is cheapest for Easter eggs. And it seems like one store has come out top for the best deals on Easter chocolate this year

With many Brits finding that food costs are on the rise, amongst their other bills, most people keep their eye out for a bargain.

It’s no different when it comes to Easter eggs, as everyone looks out for the best deal, and sees which supermarket is the cheapest for our Easter chocolate.

And it seems like Asda may have bagged the award for cheapest Easter eggs this year, as shoppers have spotted them for less than a £1.

Bargain-hunters have taken to Facebook to share the low price with other money-savers, and people have vowed to ‘stock up’ for the season.

One post, featured on a baby deals group was captioned: “Easter Eggs Now 98p at ASDA.” Eggs seen in the post included Cadbury favourites such as Buttons, Fred and Mini Eggs, as well as Nestlé brands like Smarties and KitKat. Mars’ Maltesers eggs were available too, as were Terry’s Chocolate Orange and Bluey, Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig-themed eggs for the little ones.

The post has since received thousands of likes, as one person wrote: “Have to go today,” while another tagged their partner, writing: “We’ll have to stock up for the kids.”

A second post also shared the 98p deal, and again racked up a flurry of likes.

A quick search on the Asda website confirms the 98p price is available online too for many favourites, such as the Cadbury Mini Easter egg (97g) and Maltesers Milk Chocolate Medium Easter egg (96.5g).

The cut-price deal comes after some Cadbury Easter eggs were recently spotted for an eye-whopping £15.50 in Sainsbury’s.

Both the Cadbury Dairy Milk and White Marble Ultimate Easter Egg and the Mini Eggs Inclusions Ultimate Easter Egg carry the hefty price tag at the supermarket.
