Paul Rudd left Dublin locals stunned when he made a surprise visit to a pub, joining a folk band for a drink and a singalong. Captured by the band on Instagram, the Ant-Man star enjoyed a traditional Irish poitín before forgetting to settle his €15 bill.

The 55-year-old Clueless star, in town for a movie shoot, joined Hermitage and a few regulars at the Olympia pub on Friday, casually dressed in grey tracksuit bottoms, a khaki hoodie, and a tan utility jacket.
The unexpected visit was captured by the band on Instagram, where they shared a video of Paul enjoying a small glass of poitín, a traditional Irish spirit. The clip shows him raising his glass to the band, joining in for a performance of the Scottish folk song The Parting Glass, and smiling as he enjoys the music.
However, it seems Paul got so caught up in the moment that he left without paying, still owing the band €15.Hermitage joked about their unexpected encounter with Paul in the caption of their post. They wrote: “We finished sound check in the Olympia yesterday and slipped out for a quiet pint of Guinness and a poitín chaser. If anyone sees Paul Rudd walking around Dublin wearing a Hermitage Green tshirt go up and say hello to him, he’s a lovely fella. And Paul if you’re reading this – you forgot to give us the 15 euro for it.”
In 2021, Paul Rudd was named Sexiest Man Alive by People, but it seems Jennifer Aniston has felt that way for much longer. The two first met in 1998 while filming The Object of My Affection and are said to have started dating the following year. When Paul received the honour, Jennifer took to her Instagram story to congratulate her longtime friend, sharing a video of the Ant-Man star and expressing her excitement over his well-deserved recognition.
She wrote: “This makes me so happy [laughing emoji] We’ve ALWAYS known this, but Paul Rudd is officially @people’s Sexiest Man Alive [heart eyes emoji] Alive!” Jennifer made a playful jab at her past co-star’s youthful looks, saying: “You don’t age, which is weird. But we still love you [smiling emoji with hearts]”.
Paul and Jennifer appeared as a couple in the 2012 film Wanderlust. When asked if it felt strange to kiss on screen, Jen joked, “Nah. I’ve kissed him for years,” while Paul responded, “We’ve made out for decades.” The pair also starred together on Friends, where Paul played Mike Hannigan, the husband of Lisa Kudrow’s character, Phoebe Buffay.
Aside from his roles in Friends, Clueless, and Wanderlust, Paul is best known for portraying Scott Lang in the Ant-Man series. He has also starred in Anchorman (2004), The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), and I Love You, Man (2009), while also making appearances in Parks and Recreation and earning a Golden Globe nomination for Living with Yourself (2019). His work has earned numerous accolades, including CinemaCon’s Male Star of the Year award in 2015.
