Parents have been sharing the hilarious, charming and often extremely weird things their toddlers do and despite often being a little strange, are all completely adorable

Kids can say and do the funniest things, especially when they’re at that precious toddler age of between one and three years old. It can be a testing time for parents as children ramp up their journey for exploration and adventure, determined to experience all that life has to offer.

Sharing their babies’ hilarious stories, parents have been flocking to social media to post the adorable, weird, and hilarious things their infants insist on doing that make everyday scenarios outrageous.

Taking to Reddit, one dad asked: “For us, closing in on 15 months (and undergoing the worst sleep regression we’ve experienced in a very long time). That said, our angry potato has become an actual little person all of a sudden and does…the weirdest things in the world.

  • ‘Sister-in-law demands I change my four-month-old baby’s name – she says it’s insensitive’
  • ‘Entitled woman thought I was pregnant – I loved seeing her mortified face’
  • “She loves to pick up cables, electronics, lanyards etc and drape them over her shoulders and neck. Why? I dunno. Neither her mother nor I wear necklaces or pendants. EDIT: Today she walked in wearing a shopping bag in front of her with one of the handles over her neck.

“She picks up random objects (pinecones, sticks, rocks) and gives them out to adults at playgrounds. She picks up sand, practically a grain at a time, puts it on the slide or any flat surface. This can go on for a while.”

With the invitation to reveal their own kids’ oddities, it wasn’t long before the comments section was inundated with replies. One parent responded: “2 year old here. We’re collecting rocks and bringing them indoors… we have indoor rocks. And he asks to sleep with random objects. Sometimes a book, sometimes the rocks lol, but the best was a pair of tongs he fished out of the kitchen drawer.”

Another mum wrote: “My 17 mo has an emotional support Capital One venture card (which is mine). He’s obsessed with all credit cards/licenses/similar cards, but my venture card is his prized possession. Also, today he put all of the breakfast sausage pieces I cut up for him in his water. Then drank it.”

And someone else shared: “About 1 year of having to be put to bed with a rectangular Kleenex tissue box. Full on snuggling, wrapping herself around the corners. No other brand or shape would do. Has never been attached to plushies, squishies or anything else before or after.”

While another parent proudly summed up: “My 17month old likes to tidy up the park and pathway, she puts every single piece of bark, leaf, and twig back in their rightful place before we can continue walking. Toddlers are the very best little weirdos.”
