Pouring liquids from one container to another can be a tricky business – usually resulting in a big mess to clean up. But one woman has shared her clever solution that means you won’t spill a drop
A woman has gone viral after sharing her very clever hack for pouring liquids from one container to another.
We all know how tricky it is trying to transfer fluids – the majority of it ends up all over the table resulting in a wet mess.
But help is at hand! A video shared on TikTok demonstrating how to pour without spilling a drop is proving incredibly popular with viewers praising the method for ‘changing my life’.
Jordan Lee explained that she learnt the hack when she was working as a nail technician and constantly refilling her supplies. She takes two containers – one filled with liquid and an empty smaller second one.
“Obviously without a funnel, this is going to be damn-near impossible!” she exclaimed as she first tried to free-pour into the small vessel. Jordan then tells viewers to use either a straw or a chopstick; place it inside the empty container, put the liquid container right up against it, and then simply pour. The liquid trickles down the straw or chopstick and straight into the second container.
“The way my jaw dropped!” one person exclaimed while a second added: “Stop this is so smart omg”. A third person wrote: “You had absolutely no business changing my life with a 60-second Tiktok. I will remember you for the rest of my days!” A fourth noted: “Oooh this is so smart!! Because ‘pouring with confidence’ has not treated me well!” And a fifth said: “Now THIS is a pro tip..”
It comes after a man shared his neat hack for pouring fizzy drinks into a glass without any bubbles spilling out the top.
In a clip online, he puts a glass on top of an open bottle of fizzy drink and then sets about turning them both around so that the glass is the right way up again. In doing so, he completely changes the dynamic in the bottle and you can see the regular mass of bubbles which usually stream out first are trapped at the base of the bottle.
The bottle will then empty its contents into the glass without any need for a huge cleanup. “I’m going to have to try this one for real,” one person wrote in response. Another stated: “I normally tilt the glass but there are still bubbles so this is cool tbh.” And a third added: “That’s an old flight attendant trick, they do that serving sodas on flights.”
