Shoppers say they are ‘obsessed’ with the bag, and some fans think it looks like a designer style
Primark is stocking a “gorgeous” £16 handbag that’s been compared to a designer style. Customers have fallen in love with a new Rita Ora saddle bag that’s offered in an autumnal brown shade. Available in-store, the £16 handbag has been featured in several viral videos.
In one TikTok post, fashion blogger @gh0stblondie praised the bag. She wrote: “Look at this Primark handbag, omg.” Her caption added: “No because she is GORGEOUS.” The post earned over 120,000 views and 6,500 likes.
One commenter agreed: “Gorggggg I need it.” A second fan said: “It’s fab!!” A third shared: “I want this bag SO MUCH!” A commenter revealed: “Had one similar in the 70s.”
Another thought: “Need 100 of them rn,” and someone claimed: “That looks like a Marc Jacob’s bag I love it.” Others wanted to know if the bag could fit a laptop. One such viewer commented: “Does a laptop fit in it?? I think I have a 15 or 16 inc screen.”
Reacting to the comment in another video, @gh0stblondie told viewers: “I’ve had a few questions asking if the bag itself fits in a laptop. So let’s give it a go together. I don’t know what size laptop this is, but this is mine. I feel like it’s just like a standard size. Let me see.”
She continued: “It does, with room and ease. Oh my God. This is the laptop here. Look at that. She’s slid right in. It’s the perfect little work bag.” Later in the video, the shopper added: “I’m actually obsessed. Look at that. How perfect. And then this on the front as well, that’s a big pocket on the front as well. So would you look at that? Perfect.”
Responding to the video, a fan said: “Still dreaming about this bag.” Another wrote: “Heading to primark right now!” Someone else thought: “It gives Lorelai Gilmore handbag vibe.”
There was more praise for the bag when @alice.nendick shared a TikTok praising the style. In her video, Alice said: “ Okay, I’m obsessed with this bag. Is that not like the Chanel suede bag [alternative]?” Once again, the post went viral. It gained over 160,000 views and 6,000 likes.
A fashion lover replied: “I’m so picky with bags but omg that is gorge!” Another said: “Right I need to run to primark asap.” A shopper shared: “Just got this today. Obsessed.”
A different customer added: “Just bought this and it fits SO MUCH”. Someone else wrote: “I thought it immediately it’s giving miu miu to me,” and another designer fashion fan compared the bag to a vintage Marc Jacobs piece.
