Zara is offering a perfume that’s strikingly similar to the Jo Malone fragrance reportedly favoured by Kate Middleton. The Princess of Wales is known for her love of Jo Malone London’s Orange Blossom Cologne, a scent she adores so much that it was even the signature aroma at her 2011 wedding.

Jo Malone London, renowned for its ‘exquisite’ fragrances and sought-after candles, is a luxury brand with a price tag to match. The Orange Blossom cologne, which debuted in 2003 when Jo Malone CBE was still with the company, is particularly loved by Kate.

The high-end scent is described as a “shimmering garden oasis” and “pure delight.” The fragrance boasts white floral notes with hints of tangerine and orange blossom.

Kate’s fondness for this citrus scent runs so deep that she reportedly chose it as the signature fragrance for her wedding to Prince William. British Vogue reported that she ensured the scent of Jo Malone London’s Orange Blossom candles filled Westminster Abbey during her ceremony. She also reportedly opted for citrus-infused Jo Malone toiletries for the bathrooms.

However, acquiring a bottle of the Orange Blossom Cologne can be expensive. A 100ml bottle retails for £118 on the official Jo Malone website, making it a pricey choice for many, reports Bristol Live.

But there are more budget-friendly ‘almost identical’ alternatives available for those who wish to smell like royalty. Zara has a treat for fragrance lovers, courtesy of the luxury perfume maestro, Jo Malone CBE. Shoppers can indulge in the Zara Emotions collection, featuring the Fleur D’Oranger Eau de Parfum.

This scent is a collaboration between the high-street fashion giant and the esteemed fragrance creator. The perfume is an aromatic blend of orange flower, neroli, and ylang-ylang, and is available in a 100ml bottle for £29.99.

Its product description reads: “Created by Jo Malone CBE, founder of Jo Loves Eau de Parfum. A captivating fragrance that combines floral and fresh notes. It opens with bergamot and orange blossom, followed by a heart of neroli and ylang ylang. Its base offers a soft and sensual finish, ideal for those seeking an expression of modern elegance.”

When launching the £29.99 perfume, Malone expressed her enthusiasm: “I am delighted to join Zara on this amazing adventure of creativity and collaboration. Our first collection is drawn on the global heritage of both brands, Zara and Jo Loves, using ingredients I have loved for many years. Every fragrance has been crafted with personality and a voice to tell its story in a unique fashion.”

Jo Malone CBE launched her brand, Jo Malone London, in 1990, later selling it to Estee Lauder in 1999 and parting ways as Creative Director in 2006. She paved a new path with her own label, Jo Loves, established in 2011.

According to reports, the late Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite perfume was Guerlain L’Heure Bleue. Some sources indicate she had a fondness for Floris White Rose, a luxurious floral aroma, which she famously donned on her wedding day.
