Cleaning the kitchen can often feel like an endless task, as it usually starts to get messy and dirty again the moment you’ve finished your latest clean – and sometimes even before you finish.

Ovens are perhaps one of the most challenging parts of your kitchen to clean. These appliances can accumulate a lot of dirt and grime that can be difficult to remove, especially if you haven’t cleaned it in a long time. Many people spend far too long on their hands and knees scrubbing away the grease stains when they could just use these cleaning hacks from a professional cleaner.

Taking to TikTok, cleaning company ‘TheCleanGroup’ has made a video sharing their top three tips on how to get your oven sparkling clean without having to spend hours scrubbing away the grease.

“Scrub free oven hacks I learned as a professional cleaner,” the cleaner said at the start of the video.

She then went on to explain her go-to hacks on how to tackle dirty ovens.

1. Dishwasher tablets on greasy seals

Most people might forget that cleaning the seal of your oven will be just as important as cleaning the rest of your oven.

“A dishwasher tablet will do the hard work on your greasy seals,” she said, as she was seen putting the seal in a large bowl before pouring over boiling water from the kettle.

She then added a dishwashing tablet and let it dissolve and work its magic on the greasy oven seal.

2. Wrap racks in foil

“Wrapping your [oven] racks in foil and putting it in the oven for 15 minutes at a low heat will soften up all that gunk [on the rack] so you can just wipe it away,” she told her followers next. “Absolutely zero scrubbing required.”

In the brief video, she can be seen covering her oven rack with kitchen foil before placing it in her oven at 100 degrees. Once it had warmed through, she simply used a tea towel to effortlessly remove any grime from the rack.

3. Hot water in baking tray

“Filling a baking tray with water and lemons. Put it in the oven for 45 minutes at a high heat is the ultimate stackable chore,” she said. “You’ve just cleaned the oven and the baking tray without ever scrubbing a single thing.”

When questioned in the comments about the temperature she used on her oven for this, she clarified: “I do it about 225 but it’s not written in stone. Just enough to making the water boil! Hope that helps!”

People were blown away by her straightforward tips, with numerous viewers flocking to the comments to share their reactions.

“I have just scrubbed mine for 2 hours… now this video gets on my FYP?!” one viewer commented. Another person wrote: “You make it to be soo easy, I will definitely try out, no scrubbing that it a deal.”
