A puppy saved from the drink of death is desperately searching for a new home in the UK. Two-month-old Bruno was rescued by a kindhearted stranger who heard his cries as a man attempted to drown him in a bucket.

Miracle’s Mission, an animal rescue centre that aids neglected and unwanted animals, shared the distressing account: “Bruno was saved from being drowned by a man in a bucket. A rescuer nearby heard the screams and found the man submerging him in the water. She took Bruno from him in the moment but she cannot keep him at her home as she already is at capacity.”

The poor pup, a crossbreed expected to grow to a size similar to a Labrador, is currently in Egypt but is looking for a home in the UK through the animal charity.

The statement continues: “He is currently in Egypt and will not be able to travel for several months (so the super cute, small puppy phase will be over by the time he arrives)”.

“None the less he still needs and deserves a good home in the UK if anyone out there would like to adopt a young adolescent dog.

“He will be neutered before travel. He is cat tested and will be mixing with dogs regularly once he is vaccinated.

“Bruno is a typical outgoing and playful friendly puppy at the moment. We will update his profile regularly as he matures and keep any adopter updated with his pictures and videos while they wait for him to travel.”

Reacting to the Facebook post about rehoming, one user expressed: “What a horrible monster! Trying to drown a puppy honestly well done to the lady who took him away from a monster like that! Some people are really sick!”

Another user added: “I get upset with myself if I accidentally step on a bug. What kind of person are you to be able to hold down a screaming animal and watch it die.”

A third user commented: “Poor Bruno. What a terrible start. I hope he can find a forever home. Will keep hoping. My friends poodle was dumped in a rubbish bin as a puppy and will be 19 in Feb. He was lucky and hope Bruno will be too.”

An additional user added: “Oh dear Bruno, I’m so glad you were saved and I pray that you will have the most amazing life ahead of you like you deserve.”

A final user remarked: “How anybody can harm any animal is beyond me, there are some sick cruel people in this world.”
