A couple who met on the set of Emmerdale when they played on-screen siblings are set to get married next week, with Max Parker and Kris Mochrie tying the knot very soon
Former Emmerdale star Max Parker has announced the date of his wedding to former co-star Kris Mochrie. Max, who began a romance with Kris after meeting on the set, has teased that their nuptials are now just days away.
Kris, 40, and Max, 33, who played brothers Lee Posner and Luke Posner respectively on the ITV soap opera, have been together since 2020 after meeting behind-the-scenes. Although on-screen siblings, the two actors, who have both since left Emmerdale, didn’t share any scenes together.
They got engaged just over three years ago, with Max having proposed to his partner Kris in January 2022. They are now preparing to get married next week. The news comes after Corrie star Jack P. Shepherd married his fiancée in a star-studded wedding in Manchester over the weekend.

Max announced yesterday that it’s just a week until he married Kris. The actor shared posts on Instagram that confirmed that they are just days away from exchanging vows, three years on from the couple’s engagement.
Alongside a photo of them both dressed up in suits, Max wrote: “7 days and we’re married.” He tagged his fiancé Kris, whose tie he was adjusting in the photo, in the post that was shared with his followers on the platform this week.
Max also shared a photo of them raising a toast with glasses ahead of their upcoming wedding recently. The photo, which featured a fire in the background, was accompanied by a caption that read: “1 week til we get HITCHED!”
It comes after Kris announced last year that the couple would be getting married in August this year. Alongside an engagement ring emoji, Kris wrote in a post on the platform almost a year ago: “365 days to go & 365 things to do.”
The couple got engaged in 2022, with Kris sharing the news at the time after Max, who he described as his “best friend,” proposed on a beach. He shared that the proposal had been “perfect” and said he was a “very lucky boy”.
Kris wrote: “The beautiful soul that is my best friend asked me to marry him yesterday. I can’t begin to describe how happy I am. I love him beyond words, we laugh every single day and I’m so so grateful that he came in to my life.”
He continued: “I had no idea at all! But it was just perfect… I mean this film says it all. Max had asked my Mum for any jewellery that my Gran had. Mum still had my Grans locket and he has had it made in to the middle of the engagement ring on the inside. So so special.”
Kris concluded his post at the time by writing: “Thank you to the job that brought us together, our incredible family and friends. And the amazing love from you all. I’m a very lucky boy. WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!!!”
