The Amazon Spring Deal Days sale has started, with huge discounts available on hundreds of products – including the Wireless Ring Video Doorbell
Amazon’s Spring Deals Days sale has officially arrived and with it are some huge discounts on a range of products – including the Ring Battery Video Doorbell. The popular wireless doorbell has been praised by shoppers for it’s “superb” battery life and “super easy” set up.
The Ring Battery Video Doorbell (2024 release) is now 40% off, taking it to £59.99, down from £99.99. It is available in two shades -Venetian bronze or satin nickel.
The doorbell is easily installed and removed for charging, and comes with 1440×1440 HD Video with Colour Night Vision to give you a clearer picture of what’s going on at your front door, even after dark. You can also use Privacy Zones to block out areas of the view from your Video Doorbell, so your Ring device will no longer display or record anything that happens within those areas.

The Ring doorbell has an overall rating of 4.5 stars online, having racked up rave reviews from impressed shoppers. Among them, one person said: “Great product. Works seamlessly and super easy to setup unlike some other brands. The notifications are real time. Had issues with old doorbell from an other brand where I would only get alerts 15-20 seconds later and the person at the door would have left by then and it is not the case with Ring.
“The motion detection is accurate and you can set detection boundaries. The picture quality is one of the best I have seen and the night vision is good too. The app helps you connect to the wifi and has lot of features within that are configurable. The battery life is also good but its too early to comment on that since I have only had this for 1 month.”
A second wrote: “A good upgrade from the ring video doorbell gen 2 , I’m using this with the compatible solar panel and the battery life is superb, it was a doddle to connect, when I took the old doorbell off this one fitted into the same holes so was a really straightforward swap and using it with the solar panel is a game changer, the battery is still on 100% a week later so hopefully it continues to stay charged with the solar panel.
“The alerts are excellent, it picks up all movement in the garden and is also an excellent security device as well as a good doorbell, it picks up the whole of my front garden and small playing field in front of the house so it’s a good HD security camera as well as being great for parcel deliveries and missed calls.
“The video footage is excellent as is the playback of the footage through the day, I get alerts on my watch and phone so I can stay connected to any alerts, missed parcels , people entering the front garden and it even picks up people on the small field so the motion detection is superb for a small video doorbell camera.”
Another added: “Brilliant doorbell. The best we have had. Fantastic doorbell. Good clear viewing and love that I can speak to the delivery person even when out.
“Charging is easy and lasts a good 2-3 weeks and the app tells you when it needs charging. We do ours over night. Works great for us. Would recommend.”
A fourth shopper said: “Wow this is the best thing I have ever bought…quality fantastic, lets video tell you who is at the door it also let you know if the is a package there and it’s a great camera to see who been passing or in your garden etc…I could go on about this product but I am currently buying one for the back door…just buy it, you will not regret it.”
However, some shoppers were less impressed with the product and shared their thoughts in the reviews. One wrote: “This doorbell has greats features, unfortunately, unless you pay for a subscription package, it is just a simple doorbell.”
Another added: “You need to pay each month if you want to see video records. No chance to choose your own device for data storage. Waste of money. Would not recommend. But picture is not bed.”
Alternatively, there are a range of other doorbell cameras available at different retailers. B&Q stocks the Yale Doorbell White Hybrid Video doorbell for £130, while Very has the Blink Video Doorbell with Sync Module 2 on sale for £33.99, down from £69.99.
