Former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend Rob Gronkowski has announced his latest career move which will see him team up with ex-teammate Julian Edelman, with the tight end receiving a ringing endorsement from Travis Kelce

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has thrown his weight behind NFL legend Rob Gronkowski’s fresh new gig after news broke of the latter’s show with former teammate Julian Edelman.

Gronk, now a regular face on Fox NFL Sunday post-retirement and tending to his entrepreneurial ventures, is soaking in the glory of retirement after an illustrious career that saw him bag four Super Bowl wins in 11 years.

The New England Patriots great has unveiled a collaboration with entertainment outfit Nuthouse, where he’ll join forces once again with old pal Edelman. Eagerly sharing the news on social media, the 35-year-old highlighted the launch of a novel series named “Dudes on Dudes with Gronk and Jules” with ex-teammate Edelman.

Gronkowski excitedly announced on Instagram : “Your favorite dudes have finally launched their very own show! ” adding @gronk and @edelman11 are “officially teammates again.”

With fans eagerly waiting, Travis Kelce chimed in with excitement, commenting: “This is gonna be epic!!!”.

Widely acknowledged as two of the greatest tight ends in history, Gronkowski has previously vocalised his respect for Kelce. In conversation with the Ryen Russillo Podcast, Gronkowski declared: “I mean, I believe that Travis Kelce is the best, like, receiving tight end.”

“If you’re talking about a tight end, he’s the best tight end in terms of catching the ball. There’s no doubt about it, you can’t even argue. I mean, he’s had seven 1,000-yard seasons in a row. He’s a great red zone target as well and when he’s not out on the field, they’re not the same team.”

Pondering who trumps who in terms of skill, Gronkowski added: “I would say, look, we were talking about just the way I played the game – old school style – it’s an argument.”

“It’s an argument that I don’t want to make the final decision on. It’s an argument on, also, what type of offense you’re in, what type of style you have in the game, how they’re featuring you, what type of system you’re in, what players are around you as well. He’s just had a great career.

“He’s taking it to the top, and he just keeps taking it to another level each year. And he’s in his thirties, too, he’s the same age as me which is incredible, and he’s still going at that speed. So I’ll leave it up to you guys to debate the top tight end out there.”
