These forgotten garages in London became completely unrecognisable after undergoing a major transformation and has since been snapped up for £1.4million.

A row of run-down garages in Ealing, West London, was entirely demolished to build a brand new subterranean house split over three levels.

What was a disused space has now become a sought-after spot that was sold after just two days on the market.

What’s even more interesting is that the swanky house was transformed by BBC’s The Traitors star Nathan Khider.

Away from our TV screens, Nathan specialises in buying and selling some of the most unique and exclusive homes in London with his property consultancy firm, Nathan K Real Estate.

The five garages were originally bought by Nathan for £300,000, and since turning into a 1577-square-foot home, he’s successfully sold the property for over four times its original purchase price.

Nathan said: “The house’s unique story and design encouraged our cash buyer to put in an offer without hesitation.

“This was a one-of-a-kind project with half of the house built underground. I have never sold anything like this before. It is a huge transformation, turning unused space into a modern three-bedroom home.

“We are delighted that our vision paid off and that all of the challenges were worthwhile! The utility room, two bathrooms and two of the bedrooms are in the basement, while the kitchen-diner is at half basement level.”

He added: “The third bedroom is on the ground floor level, with views of the garden terrace. Big windows and five skylights allow plenty of natural light into the modern space.”

The property expert did confess that the transformation was no easy feat. Building underground proved difficult, especially when using brickwork, glass, steel and concrete all together, but he couldn’t be more pleased with the results.
