The Mirror can exclusively reveal that former comedian Russell Brand has been earning a rather lucrative salary from his bizarre rants on the video-based app Rumble after he was kicked off YouTube
Russell Brand has made more than £1.2million from bizarre video rants on Rumble since being accused of rape.
The comedian, 49, was forced to broadcast on the alternative video platform after YouTube cut him off when the allegations emerged. Brand posts wild conspiracy theories on the Russian invasion of Ukraine as well as anti-vax ravings.
His videos have been watched 160 million times since September 2023, with top Rumble earners making about £8 per 1,000 views. A source said: “Russell Brand is raking it in through posting these bizarre videos on Rumble. YouTube won’t touch him. But he’s made over a million pounds since the rape emerged. It’s been a very lucrative source of income.”
Brand’s videos include debates with disgraced US radio host Alex Jones, who spread false statements about the Sandy Hook school mass shooting. Other wild claims Brand has made include one that President Joe Biden wants to have World War III with Russia.
He also spoke about his belief Google is trying to influence this year’s US Presidential election against Donald Trump. And, he regularly posts videos with Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News presenter who was slammed earlier this year for travelling to Moscow to interview President Putin.

This week, he was also accused by Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau of being funded by the Russian news channel RT. Other Brand videos include unproven claims about children getting ill by vaccines.
The revelation comes as the Metropolitan Police confirmed the investigation into the rape allegations continues, 13 months after it was launched. Brand vehemently denies any wrongdoing.
