Galaxy Watch owners might fancy upgrading to something better, thanks to the latest discount

If you’re a fan of the Galaxy Watch, you might want to check out online deals this weekend. Samsung has just announced a massive discount on its top-tier wearable, making it much more budget-friendly than before.

At its launch last year, the new Galaxy Watch Ultra carried a hefty price tag of £599. However, there’s good news for tech fans as the Korean tech giant has now reduced the price by £100, bringing it down to a more affordable £499.

That seems like a more reasonable price point and it’s even £300 less than its rival, the Apple Watch Ultra. For the uninitiated, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is packed with features that you won’t see on the less expensive models. The price will still be out of reach for some, Amazon is currently running a discount on the rival Apple Watch Ultra.

First off, there’s the tough-as-nails design, crafted from titanium – Samsung boasts that this is indeed the “toughest Galaxy Watch ever”. This suggests it’s built to last many years adorning your wrist, reports the Express.

This enhanced style isn’t just for show; it boasts improved water resistance, thrives in high altitudes, and can handle significant temperature fluctuations. So when you’re ascending a mountain and the mercury plunges to -20 degrees, the Ultra will keep ticking.

The device also introduces a Quick Button, allowing swift access to your favourite apps and functionalities with just a tap. No more endless menu scrolling to start a workout or begin a run thanks to this feature, which complements the large, vivid display.

Worth mentioning are some other features: an integrated alarm for when you need urgent help, a special night mode with a red and black screen for better visibility in darkness, and highly accurate GPS for exact location tracking.

Battery life on this premium Galaxy Watch is equally notable, with the capability to run up to 100 hours before needing to recharge. If you want to know more about this device, sister site The Express have a Galaxy Watch Ultra review. It’s unclear how long the Samsung deal will be available for but this offer is also available at other retailers, including Amazon.

As well as what the tech experts at The Express think, it’s also popular with everyday wearers. As one Amazon shopper said: “Screen size is brilliant, its display is excellent and the new design.” Another shopper called the watch ‘great’ however, they said there were improvements to be made when it came to the strap, as they said: “Watch great, band, feels cheap and constantly gets black marks around edges. Considering the price, the band should be better quality.”
