Samsung is handing out free Galaxy tablets for these shoppers – but you’ll need to be quick
It’s not secret that Samsung can be generous when it comes to freebies, especially when compared to its Apple rivals and the bare iPhone 16e cupboard. From hundreds of pounds knocked off the price for shoppers who trade-in, to free devices when you buy.
In a seemingly hidden and discreet sale from the tech giants, it’s now handing out the Galaxy Tab A9 for free. Worth £219, anyone who buys a Galaxy S25 Ultra will bag the 8.7-inch device for £0 – as long as you paste ‘S25BOOST’ when you checkout.
It’s a deal which may sway Samsung fans to pick its flagship S25 Ultra over the smaller S25 and S25+ as the two sister models don’t come with the same freebie. The S25 Ultra starts at £1,249, but throwing in the freebie you’re essentially cutting £219 off the price, and even more if you have an older phone.

As usual, Samsung is still offering its mega trade-in deal – which sees shoppers bag as much as £660 off the S25 Ultra when they had over an older phone. The price you can cut off ranges from a ‘not-too-shabby’ £50 to more than £600 – and it all depends what old model you’re looking to ditch.
For instance, having an S23 Ultra will cut £475 off the price and an Apple iPhone 14Pro will help you save £270 off the S25 Ultra price. The biggest trade-in discount is for those who have a S24 Ultra (likely in pristine condition), which drops the price of the S25 Ultra to £589, plus you’ll still get the free Tab A9.
Where do you find the deal? There’s little to no mention of the huge offer until you get to the checkout page, once here you’ll see the S25BOOST offer. And when entering it to the ‘voucher’ code part, the £219 Galaxy Tab A9 is added for free. You’ll need to make sure you beat the March 4 deadline.
We’ve been keeping our eye on this deal, as it’s a rare one to find, but there are alternatives. The downside to the S25 Ultra is most definitely it’s price as it’s simply to expensive for many tech fans to justify. Despite it’s stunning design, speedy processor the cost and lack of fancy Bluetooth S Pen (without an extra fee) makes many question if its worth it.
Elsewhere though, and those on a tighter budget can still get a freebie with Samsung this week, as S24 FE shoppers can get a Galaxy Fit3 smartwatch for free. While Apple rarely hands out freebies, the new iPhone 16e is worth taking a look at over at Sky Mobile as they cut upfront fees and offer the handset with 3GB of data for £27 per month.
