Carrie Bradshaw might have hung up her Manolos after the And Just Like That finale, but it seems Sarah Jessica Parker is following suit as she ditches her heels for something considerably comfier and warmer for autumn. Appearing in UGG’s new Iconic from the First Step campaign, Sarah Jessica swaps her go-to stilettos for two of UGGs autumn boots, and they’re both available to shop now.

In the campaign, Sarah Jessica wears the Women’s Classic Ultra Mini Boot (£145) and the Women’s Classic Ultra Mini Platform Boot (£155). But, in true Carrie fashion, Sarah Jessica styled both pairs in a totally unexpected way, showing just how versatile the sheepskin boots can be.

For the Women’s Classic Ultra Mini Boot, SJP wore them with the ultimate autumn outfit. Her flowing midi skirt, cosy grey cardigan and oversized trench coat is the perfect combination to prove that a pair of UGGs can look chic and sophisticated, and she even gave it a little extra Carrie-like flare with a pearl necklace.

The boots come in seven different colours, although SJP opted for the classic chestnut pair which is the perfect shade for autumn. The low ankle rise and flat sole also make them a great pick for everyday wear, and you can just as easily wear them under trousers without adding extra bulk.

For a slightly more glamorous look, Sarah Jessica paired the Women’s Classic Ultra Mini Platform Boot with a voluminous sequin midi skirt, a soft black knit with a deep V neck, and her signature pearl jewellery. The look was somehow elegant, classic and timeless whilst still being playful and fun – a Carrie-esque outfit if we ever saw one.

Ideal if you want to add a little drama and fun to your autumn outfits, the platform sole of these adds a new twist on the classic boots, making them great for wearing with longer jeans and trousers or under maxi dresses. They also look great paired with shorter hemlines, and add a chunkier, more grounded look to an otherwise floaty outfit.

Of course, several other brands have launched their own version of the iconic boots, with the EMU Stinger Micro Platform Boots now available for £134 at Free People. With five colours to choose from, the chestnut option is slightly darker than SJP’s UGGs, but with a similar platform sole and sheepskin lining.

For more budget-friendly options, Jack Wills’ Platform Snug Boots are currently on sale for just £26, down from £84.99, and in stock in sizes 5 to 8. Meanwhile at ASOS the SEQWL Mini Flatform Boots in Tan are now £15 down from £22, and also still have sizes 5 to 8 in stock.

Whilst the EMU and Jack Wills boots are made from real suede with a sheepskin lining, the SEQWL pair are made from faux materials, hence the more affordable price tag. However both the Classic Ultra Mini Platform Boot and the Classic Ultra Mini Boot from UGG are also both made from super soft suede and lined inside with the brand’s signature UGGplush blend for an extra soft, cosy feel.

The soles are also made from either sugarcane EVA or a Treadlite by UGG outsole. Keeping up with the brand’s responsible efforts, each pair is also made in a factory that supports women in the supply chain with the help of HERproject, which helps to empower and educate women in the workplace.
