A lawyer representing P Diddy’s alleged victims has claimed he has sent letters to the rappers famous pals who may be involved in his crimes, giving them the chance to settle out of court

P Diddy’s famous friends could be offered settle claims with alleged victims to avoid media attention, a lawyer has claimed.

Lawyer Tony Buzbee claims that major celebrities are set to be panicking following concerns they could be named in connection with a string of allegations. It comes as a string of civil lawsuits are reportedly set to be filed against the disgraced rapper who is currently being remanded in custody. Last week, it was claimed that Diddy had used horse tranquiliser to drug his alleged victims. Buzbee claimed one alleged victim who was 15 years old at the time. The lawyer alleged she was “flown to New York City to attend a party” before being drugged and “taken to a private room allegedly in the presence of Mr Combs.”

Tony, who says he is representing around 120 alleged victims of Diddy, claims that household names are the next to be revealed in the lawsuits. However, he claims that some famous faces have been given the chance to pay their victims to settle out of court and keep their names hidden.

He said: “Everyone is focused on what other celebrities were involved, who is going to be named, who is going to be outed. I don’t expect that to happen this week. We want to make sure if we name individuals beyond Mr Combs that, we have done our homework because it is going to create a firestorm, and we understand that. If you were there in the room, participated, watched it happen and didn’t say anything or helped cover it up, in my view, you have a problem.”

The Houston-based lawyer has said he will “aggressively” pursue the cases against people involved in the abuse. He added that “a lot of people saw this activity going on.” Buzzbee told TMZ that he has sent out a string of demand letters to celebrities who he claims have been involved in the ongoing scandal.

He went on to tell the outlet that his law firm received thousands of calls from people who claimed to have been victims of Diddy. While the first lawsuits are expected to be filed this week, reports suggest that they will not name any famous people – instead, they will focus on corporate entities who allegedly helped enable Diddy’s crimes, says Buzbee.

Currently, the controversial musician is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in New York after he was charged with sex trafficking and racketeering offences, as well as transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy continues to deny all allegations.

It comes as his mum released a bombshell statement following his arrest. Janice Smalls Combs released the statement in defence of her son as he faces allegations of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. She said that “as a mother”, she is “saddened” by what her son has been accused of. She then explained that she finds it “heartbreaking” what Combs is going through. Janice said: “I come to you today as a mother that is devastated and profoundly saddened by the allegations made against my son, Sean Combs.

“It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth but for a narrative created out of lies. To bear witness to what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words. Like every human being, my son deserves to have this day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence.”

Diddy denies all allegations made against him. In a statement, his legal representative Erica Wolff addresses the “meritless allegations”. Sh said: “As Mr Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus.” Speaking to TMZ, she added: “That said, Mr Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
