Authorities have said Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn’s estranged husband has been charged with assault and child abuse
Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn’s estranged husband has been charged with assault and child abuse, according to authorities.
Christian Dumontet, a tech executive, held a lavish wedding with the reality star in December 2019, which featured on the hit show. The pair welcomed their first child, Christian Georges, in May 2021.
The Los Angeles city attorney told the PA news agency Dumontet has been charged with three misdemeanours: child abuse/endangerment, assault, and violation of a protection order.

It comes after his arrest following an alleged “domestic dispute” which was alleged to have involved Quinn and their child, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Dumontet filed for divorce from Quinn weeks later. At the time he cited “irreconcilable differences” for the separation and looked for sole legal and physical custody of their two-year-old son. Court documents suggested Dumontet and Quinn got legally married in June 2021.
Quinn shot to fame as part of Netflix’s hit show Selling Sunset. She featured in series five of the reality show which captures the lives of glamorous brokers at a high-end real estate firm in Los Angeles.
The Texas-born broker was quickly known for her straight-talking persona as well as having an eye for a deal and penchant for drama.
In a statement to DailyMail.com, Quinn’s attorney Jacqueline Sparagna explained how they are “extremely satisfied with the decision”. They noted they believe it is a “crucial step toward” protecting both Christine and baby Christian.
The statement read: “We are extremely satisfied with the decision of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office to file three separate charges against Mr. Dumontet. He has now been formally charged with child abuse against his 2-year-old toddler, assault against Christine Quinn, and for violating a restraining order.
“We believe this development is a crucial step toward safeguarding the legal and personal interests of both victims and trust that that the matter will continue to be handled with the utmost seriousness it deserves.”
