Brits are ‘running’ to stores to get their hands on two new limited-edition drinks, inspired by the iconic Tango Ice Blast slushes that first debuted in the UK back in 2004

Brits are going absolutely bonkers for two new Tango drinks inspired by a Cinema classic.

A trip to the pictures isn’t complete without the vibrant Tango Ice Blast slushies – which look like something straight out of The Simpsons. The frozen drinks, which can be found in Cineworld stores across the UK as well as certain service stations, first debuted in 2004.

Now, the classic frozen drinks have been transformed into a fizzy pop version just in time for the sizzling weekend ahead. However, the highly-sought after drinks are only available for a limited time, so you’ll have to act quickly.

The ‘powerful and refreshing’ Raspberry Blast and Cherry Blast drinks are officially out now, priced at £1.99 per 500ml bottle. The vegan-friendly treats are available in a slew of retailers including the Co-Op and Londis stores.

“Can’t wait to taste,” one person wrote on Facebook. Another agreed, commenting: “Mmmm, bet these [are] lush.” A third added: “”I need them.” While a fourth penned: “Running to get one.”

“We’re thrilled to introduce these exhilarating new flavours to our Tango lineup,” said Victoria Burridge of Tango. “With Tango Raspberry Blast and Tango Cherry Blast, we aimed to create a sensory experience that pops with each gulp.

“They are the perfect companions for those seeking a bold burst of flavour.” Despite their bright pink and blue appearance, the tango blasts are actually free from artificial flavours and colours – and can be found in your local corner shop whilst stocks last.
