London Fire Bridage said in a statement: “Twelve fire engines and around 80 firefighters tackled a fire at a building under renovation on Blackfen Road in Sidcup.
“The ground floor, first floor and roof of a shop with flats above was alight, along with part of the roof of an adjacent building. As a result, the property’s first floor collapsed. There are currently no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade’s Control Officers took nearly 30 calls to the fire and mobilised crews from Eltham, Lee Green, Sidcup, East Greenwich and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 1639.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
