In the recent news of pesticides being found in tampons being sold in the UK, the Mirror has listed some brands selling products that are 100% organic and gynae approved.
If you use sanitary products like tampons, you might want to keep reading as Brits were recently alerted by scientists after they found toxic pesticides in tampons. Glyphosate – the world’s most widely used weedkiller – was found in them, which is a pesticide linked to cancer.
A study by the Pesticide Action Network UK, the Women’s Environmental Network, and the Pesticide Collaboration found that one tampon sample with pesticide levels 40 times higher than the legal limit for drinking water, the Mirror reported.
These findings have sparked widespread concerns and discussions across the country about products intended for intimate use. People are now opting for other alternatives that are organic or pest-free to prevent the risk of exposure to those dangerous substances.
